Yay, Sharapova finally won another Tier 1 title yesterday in the final of the 2006 Acura Classics Tour. She beat Clijsters 7-5, 7-5. It was a great match for fans to watch. Both played amazingly with the pounding of their groundstrokes.

Federer won the Rogers Cup yesterday. Holy cow, he was blown away in the first set by Gasquet. For a moment I got a little bit nervous, but like a champ he is, he took the match in 3 sets. Nice.
Then afterwards, it was the ladies final over in CA for the JPMorganChase Tournament. Dementieva vs. Jankovic, who took out Serena. It was a really fun match to watch. Those girls were pounding the life out of the balls, and some rallies were keeping you at the edge of your seats. Who said women's tennis is boring? NOT. It was a great match to watch.
yay! Go Federer!Originally Posted by tennisrocks

Women's tennis has always come across to me as a less spectacular version of the men's game...
The women have no power and screech too much.
but Hingis is back.Originally Posted by 0-0-0

Yup, Federer's 55 win streak in North America is finally broken by 19 year old Scot-British teenager, Andy Murray, 7-5, 6-4.
I've seen Murray play, and he's certainly fun to watch and has so much potential, but I didn't expect this this early. He recently changed coach and hired Brad Gilbert. I gotta say there's certainly something special about Brad's coaching. Agassi started to win Grand Slams after he hired Brad, and Roddick won his only slam thus far when Brad was his coach.
so far he's moved through the 2nd round easily. I just hope he'll last 'til the weekend, 'cause my ESPN2 here doesn't start broadcasting it until Friday.Originally Posted by f.alchemist_freak

sorry - wrong info.
Nadal's out, but not by Roddick. he was beaten by Juan Carlos Ferrero.

i like Ferrero! I haven't seen him play for a while though. he seems to have declined from his peak a few years ago.
Utter disgraceful bs...Originally Posted by f.alchemist_freak
ferrero rocher will be out soon
I'll bet the final will be Rodick and Forreror. I think Federer just ran out of gas, so as Nadal, Blake and those who went deept in Roger cub.
Roddick won!
anyone saw the match?
