So he qualifies?
He won't be a main character. May later be an adversary or ally....hmmm we will see.
Need to read the story first.

I don't think there is a need to determine the main character(s). This is a semi-rpg game. Each writer will of course focus on developing the character he/she introduced/played. So, just let the story flows.

Man its so long and confusing.
Can some one please give a quick summary of the recent 7 pages, just so i know the environment. It seems like a fortress war. Are we still at an inn. Who are the two groups of fighters?
Perhaps he is already in the story... with refernce to the post below. I know there is no metal flask and flute but hey just wondering...Originally Posted by yittz
Can we still add new characters?
Name: Unknown - known by peers as nameless one
Gender: Male
Appearance: Masked face, 170cm tall, medium build, black hair.
Age: Appear to be in 20s based on movements and vitality, no one know for sure
Personality: Dark, secretive, solitary (works alone) - hence little is know about his character, thought to be chivalrous but no one has actually seen him perform any heroic acts.
Attire: Long hair tired to the back, well dressed, but mostly seen in colours of black, grey and white.
Items: Carries a metal flask and a metal flute.
Martial Arts Style/Techniques: Largely unknown. Believed to be self invented. Few have seen him fight. Those who have seen him only witnessed him using a few palm strokes which immediately overpowers his opponents.
Internal Energy: Unknown, thought to be proficient given the fierceness and controlled palm strikes
Lightness Kungfu: No one has seen him utilise any lightness kungfu, but commoners reported that he disappears in front their eyes.
Other Info: Outlawed, constantly hunted (unsuccessfully) by the govenment officials. Reason undisclosed by the officials. Very little else known about him including family history and social history.
Will learn more as he is introduced and the story progresses.

This cloaked figure dashed into the dark and quiet inn (it was nighttime). No one was there to notice him. He lifted his sword and swiftly walked out to the backyard...he was after the Escort Agency's goods. He had heard rumours of it for a long time already and he was bound to get an answer tonight.
He looked around and spotted a small room lit with light...could it be the barrack of the inn? He walked soundlessly up to the door and pushed it open. Two figures from inside the barrack immediately responded to this and picked up their weapons and swung it at the cloaked figure. The figure easily warded off their blows by blocking it with his sheathed sword. He twirled the sword in his hand then unsheathed it cooly. He then thrusted his sword forcefully towards once of the men...
Ba, I guess we can morph that part in, would you be able to give me the post number? Maybe we can have it so that the cloaked figure took their sword, used it and returned it to their sheath. Lets make it this character does not use the metal flute until he has to. If only Tommy is willing to edit his post.
I was thinking of making him as the one that Radken's character suppose to hunt down as an imperial official, but some how detered from completing the task and hence in turn become the hunted as well. Do you concur Radken?
hey Yittz, its starts on page 11, post 220.. you got to read a couple of posts after that too...
Thanks, i ve read it, seems like a highlight so far. But I don't intend to have my character like the dark figure described. He's after something much more - will reveal later. I don't think its possible to change the figure already described to resemble what I have in mind. So atm the only connection is with Radken's character.
We would have to ask Radken whether he wants his character into the game.Originally Posted by yittz

Szema Mok entered the bright, decently-scented room of the Fortune Prestige Escort Agency of which Li Shen Si's friend, Wu FengFu worked at. There was no-one inside but a few Escorts whom were talking happily to eachother about their successful missions. They looked up as they saw Szema Mok and his friends piling into the room.
"Ehh...," said one of the escorts whom seemed to be in his 40's.
"We've came to discuss something with the Escort House Master," said Li Shen Si as he moved in head around, staring at the rich materials and furnitures.
The escort looked at them curiously then ordered one of the servants (the one who opened the doors for Szema Mok) to notify the Escort House Master about Szema Mok. He then resumed his chat with fellow friends.
Two minutes later a man, in his 50's, came walking into the room. He was rather large, tall, and was somewhat handsome despite his age. He looked at Szema Mok...
At the inn...
The leader of the group suddenly laughed like a raving maniac.Originally Posted by TommyH

He managed to unblock his accupoint and tore off his gown, revealing a whole load of explosives. He set off the fuse and threw himself onto his followers tied outside the restaurant.
Kong Long Zi shouted, "Everybody get down!"
The 4 of them dived for cover just in time to avoid the tremendous blast which ripped through the front wall and blasted the door apart.
Ah Jiang shouted, "Everyone OK?"
Kong Long Zi, Bao Hua and Li Xiao Sheng replied, "Yes!" simultaneously.
The next day...
Ah Jiang said, "I'll go with you. I don't want to trouble you over my breakfast."Originally Posted by Da Bao

Bao Hua asked Li Xiao Sheng, "What's up with him?"
Li Xiao Sheng said, "Beats me. He's been there even before I got up."
They went up to him and asked, "What's bothering you?"
To be continued soon...
Still at the inn...
Kong Long Zi said, "I think Szema Mok and his party are in trouble. We may need to help them."
Bao Hua asked, "How do you know?"
Kong Long Zi replied, "Look at those people who blew themselves up yesterday. They are radical cultists who are not afraid of death to achieve their goals. Szema Mok and company won't find it easy dealing with them."
Li Xiao Sheng asked, "How do we help them, uncle?"
Kong Long Zi said, "We must first contact them and then get support from all their affiliated sects. But who shall go?"
Li Xiao Sheng said, "Let me go, uncle."
Bao Hua said, "Me too."
Ah Jiang said, "If I won't get in the way, I'll like to go too. But my martial arts skills are too weak..." He turned his head down with a downcast look.
Kong Long Zi said, "Alright. The 3 of you will proceed at full speed to meet up with Szema Mok's party. Meanwhile I'll visit Wudang and get help there. I'll return with reinforcements."
Ah Jiang said, "But... but... how can I go with them? I'll only get them into trouble."
Kong Long Zi shut his eyes for a moment. He then got up silently and went to the cellar and took out the last remaining box.
To be continued in a few moments...
Got the feeling that Ah Jiang is going to inherit some powerful martial arts or ends up saving the day.. say.. why has he not confess his feeling sto Bao Hua as yet?

not that hard mate.. he is the only one with low martial arts.. in most JY novels, such people aways get the privilege
Anyway, continuing the story...
Kong Long Zi flipped open the box and they starred wide-eyed at the contents.
It was a sword. The handle was cast in gold and had a dragon engraved on the hilt. The sheath was made of bronze and had a very exquisite design. Kong Long Zi held it up and handed it to Ah Jiang and said, "Here, take this."
Ah Jiang stammered, "No... no... I... can't take this... I'm not fit... to use this..."
Kong Long Zi insisted, "Just take it."
Ah Jiang continued, "No... I'll only lose it... My martial arts skills... are too poor."
Kong Long Zi said, "I'll teach you. Draw the sword."
Ah Jiang slowly pulled the sword out of its sheath. It made a striking metallic sound and exuded an aura of deadliness. The blade reflected the sunlight like a mirror and was about 3 feet in length. Although it had a very simple design, the sword seemed to radiate cold air.
It was clearly no ordinary sword. The base of the blade had the words "Demonic Aura" engraved on it. It was heavy yet seemed very agile and could immediately boost its wielder's fighting spirit.
Kong Long Zi said, "I used this sword for almost 20 years before I retired to be an innkeeper 10 years ago. I shall now impart you the Dugu 9 Swords to accompany the the sword."
Bao Hua exclaimed, "You mean Master Dugu Qiubai's only written sword manual?"
Li Xiao Sheng cried, "Oh uncle! So you're the keeper of Master Dugu's ancient sword manual?"
Kong Long Zi said, "Yes. The power of this skill depends on the user's intelligence and flexibility, and not so much on his internal power. Ah Jiang, you shall now officially be the next keeper of the Dugu 9 Swords manual."
Ah Jiang could only stare speechless with his mouth wide-open.
TO be continued.
wow.. Dugu 9 swords, Taiji Sword, Li Shen Si's double swords, 6MSJ... whats missing is only the heavy iron sword... Thanks for continuing the story Icyfox
Wow, finally Ah Jiang knew some martial arts!!!

Continuing the scene at the inn...
Kong Long Zi said, "OK, pay attention. Let me explain the 1st Sword - the General Index Sword. From this few simple strokes you can derive countless variations which encompass all of swordsmanship. How you fare would depend very much on yourself. In fact you can even surpass me."
He then picked up a sturdy wooden stick and guided Ah Jiang's movements, which was clumsy and ungainly at first but soon became fluid and rapid. He thrust the stick randomly towards Ah Jiang who managed to block or evade all of them. He then proceeded to explain how to change from defence to attack and immediately turn the tables on the enemy.
Kong Long Zi said, "The best defence is attack. When you attack your opponent until he can do nothing but defend, how can he attack you? If he can't attack you, you won't have to defend."
Seeing that Ah Jiang roughly understood the basics, he went on to explain the Sword-breaking Stance, Knife-breaking Stance, Spear-breaking Stance, Mace-breaking Stance, Whip-breaking Stance, Palm-breaking Stance and Projectile-breaking Stance.
By this time Ah Jiang was getting more confused and the sword strokes he executed looked messy and weak.
Kong Long Zi said, "There's no need to memorize everything. Just understand the principles and apply them based on instinct. The key to using the Dugu 9 Swords well is flexibility."
Ah Jiang said, "Alright. I think I know now. Er, so far you have only taught me 8 of the Swords. What is the last one?"
Kong Long Zi replied, "Firstly, I taught you nothing. I just allowed you to know how the Dugu 9 Swords work. OK, the 9th Sword is the Energy-breaking Sword. You can use it to defeat opponents with internal power much better than yours."
He then explained the last Sword to Ah Jiang. (You'll find out how the 9th Sword works when Ah Jiang uses it in combat. )
Ah Jiang finally understood the Dugu 9 Swords and suddenly felt a great sense of satisfaction. He started executing sword strokes randomly and found that they were swift and accurate, and all the strokes flowed smothly like the running water.
Kong Long Zi warned, "Do not be over-confident, though. That is the key to defeat."
Ah Jiang quickly got on his knees and said, "Thank you, master!"
Kong Long Zi said, "Do not call me master. I already said I didn't teach you anything. You taught yourself. I imparted the Dugu 9 Swords to you and I have done my duty. It's your duty to pass it down now. Farewell and good luck."
Ah Jiang, Bao Hua and Li Xiao Sheng then bade Kong Long Zi farewell and set off in the direction of Szema Mok and his party.

I really hope that some of the characters get to duel each other some point in the story...

Like to see Ah Jiang wipe that smirk off Szema Mok? When you create a character so superficially perfect, and the first thing he does in the novel is get into a fight with a harmless waiter, then a young lady, trouble is bound to follow him around.
