    i'm suprised...ariel looks better than some of the initial pictures I saw of her...

    it should be interesting that the series is gonna start off with Guo JIng at 18 years old...

    oh well...hopefully there will be a lot of good fight sequence...

    man.. why do they have to go and make another LOCh? Anyways, HG looks alright so far..maybe he should buff up.

    Ariel looks cute...... can't say if she can pull it off or not.

    GJ was an average-looking, simple-minded and earnest/kind guy. Hu Ge looks charming, bright and somewhat cheeky. And i still think he doesnt have the build for GJ but oh wells..the cast is already confirmed.

    Interesting. Bao Xiruo has a Gao Yuanyuan-ness to her, Mu Nianci is classically pretty...and Huang Rong looks like a bouncy, bottom-pinching, chubby-cheeked chambermaid. At least Ariel Lin looks healthy, I suppose. Zhou Xun, despite her acting, always looked far too skinny to play a character who knows her way around a kitchen and is also comfortable in a fight.

    As expected, the producers are going for a colourful, upbeat look, rather than the sombre tones of Zhang Jizhong. I don't mind if it looks like typical Chinese/Taiwanese TV costume drama as long as it doesn't have the over-mannered & cutesy acting that that implies.

    I suspect the script will deviate quite extensively from the book to the point that the final product is more "based on" rather than "adapted from" Jin Yong. It'll be a test of the Xian Jian team's script-doctoring skills. The target market is unlikely to be hardcore novel-readers (who have ZJZ's LOCH03) but rather teens at one end and TVB-nostalgics at the other. I really hope they do a good job and make enough money so that they're encouraged to redo ROCH too.

    never really like HuGe, just not my kind of guy...he was ok in CP
    he's kind of wierd ...don't know why he's really famous in China though..
