MI is not about a Super Agent who is multi-talented (a la James Bond). in the original tv series, MI consists of a team - each with their individual expertise (eg hacking, seduction, weaponry, disguise etc..)...

    (With respect to MIII:III)
That is not "Mission Impossible". The original, the real "Mission Impossible" was about a team, not about one agent. The movies messed up everything that I liked about "Mission Impossible".
My obsessions: Joy Division, New Order, Bones, The Office.

Never seen the TV serial before can't comment much.
else I would have said: MI TV:MI III
Normally I wouldn't compare past series with the present.
The past is the past. Besides, the director probably isn't the same person.

If it makes you feel better, sure, you're THE ONE who got it right the first time. I just repeated the same idea and added my own view of how I feel about the MI movies.

This movie was all right. I liked it better than MI 1, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as MI 2.

I can't say the movie pleased me. Thing is... What's the rabbit foot ? It doesn't make any sense the guy wanted ethan brought him but he did not really know what the rabbit foot is.. And I don't get it either. Is that somekind of a Zen ?

It's me or what.. The villains in MI 1 - 3 all from within the agency. The first MI was an old MIF guy (I believe many old IMF fans know). The second is an Ex-MI agent and the third.. There's another MI agent.. What's wrong with the agency ?? Are they telling us the only worthy adversaries are the same people who got the same training ? I think they'd better close the agency or clean them up.
