caused a sensational stir.

Everybody is saying that Long Fan Tian is an ingrate, that after learning all the deceitful tricks from his Teacher, killed him in return just to singly take possession of the 2 million tales of gold bars and even didn't let off his sweetheart. The legend had it that the gold was buried on a certain corner on the west side of Golden City.

Twenty years later, Golden City on the surface appeared to be a flourishing and bustling town but concealing the struggles between the rich and the poverty-stricken folks.

On the western suburbs of the City, there is a slum area called Zhu Ji Li, a place where all sorts people - crooks, fugitives, prisoners, rogues, etc. staying there or hiding from the outside world. The Chief therein is Wu Jiao Jiao (the people named her as "Mu Ye Cha" ), who lives inter-dependently with her only daughter, Yuer, for 20 years. In the last 20 years, Wu Jiao Jiao had built on her own merits, one house after another, which gradually grew in tandem with the growing dwellers; and this is where Zhu Ji Li is
today.

The mother and daughter depended on their rentals earned from their old and dilapidated houses. The people living in Zhu Ji Li are friendly despite being pitiful and impoverished. But, everybody from young to old are fearful but respectful of Wu Jiao Jiao. Wu Jiao Jiao name the village as "Zhu Ji Li" to symbolize all the pitiful people who were compelled and pressured by the rich and authority, including her, to stay therein. She often compared Zhu Ji Li to Liang Shan Po.

Yuer had stayed in Zhu Ji Li since she was born. This year she is 20 years old. She is very familiar with all those who are "baddies", unemployed people therein. The villagers are nicknamed as the "Shen.Tou Li" in the pilfering world; have superb make up and disguise skills named "Qian Mian Jia" aka Beautiful Thousand Faces; expert with illusions; brilliant gambling tricks named "Tian Jiu Ci"; love potion; "Du Hou Cui Cui" poison skills; a couple, Lao Zhao and Zhao Da Ma, who are profoundly skilled in martial arts....Yuer is born intelligent, efficacious, cute and with a glib tongue. She is loved by all in the village. All these extraordinary people are Yuer's Teachers who dote on her immensely and bestowed all their skills to her.

In order to celebrate her 20th birthday, Yuer planned a hoax to play a trick on Wu Jiao Jiao. Wu Jiao Jiao fell into her ruse but immediately let Yuer taste her own medicine.

Yuer's birthday coincidentally coincides with the Golden City's magnate, Zhuang Cheng's 55th birthday. The celebration was grandoise and his villa was filled with music, joyous laughter, fine food and champagne for all his high official and noble lords guests throughout the evening.

Zhuang Cheng's only son, Zhuang Ruo Long, had only just returned from England a few days back, just in time for his father's birthday celebrations. Zhuang Ruo Long is a dashing young man of both civil and military abilities, wise and full of stratagems with extraordinary demeanor. He came from the Huang Pu military academy. Four years ago he left for England to study. He majored in Psychology and Military Affairs tactics. Zhuang Cheng's wishful thinking was to have his son to expand into military and political affairs. He hopes that father and son, with one heart, can dominate the military/politics/trading business world and build "an empire" out of Golden City. He even have thoughts of being a politician.

Zhuang Ruo Long does not share his father's wild ambitions. He cares for the fate of his nation. He only wished that his scholarly attainments and capabilities can change the country's fate; to save the country and civilians out of an abyss of suffering.

On this day, Yuer learnt of a secret from her mother. This disclosed secret will change Yuer's next half of her life time.

Wu Jiao Jiao told Yuer that both of them has a great enemy. Wu Jiao Jiao wanted Yuer to join hands with her to make reprisals on their common foe; cos Yuer's maternal grandfather and father were killed by this enemy of theirs. Yuer did not know that her father was murdered by someone cos her mother had always told her, that her father had died of typhoid fever when she was born. Wu Jiao Jiao explained in detailed why she had hidden the truth from her for so long. (of course there were a lot of discrepancies from the original truth).

Under the encouragement of her mother, Yuer decided to avenge for her maternal grandfather and father. Their antagonist is none other than Zhuang Cheng, the magnate of Golden City. Zhuang Cheng is very intimate with the Mayor and Police Commissioner. He is wealthy and has great power and influence, definitely not easy to deal with. Wu Jiao Jiao told Yuer that knowing full well it is not easy to deal with Zhuang Cheng which was why she had waited 20 years for a change to take revenge. At the same time, she make use of the waiting time to cultivate and groom Yuer so that Yuer can personally kill their enemy.

Zhuang Cheng had all these years been in the constructing business, building various types of resplendent houses to fulfill the upper class society's high officials and noble lords' needs at the same time making huge profit gains for himself. The poor were all forced to the outskirts and became a group of frontier folks living worse off than pigs and dogs.

Now, Zhuang Cheng had made a name for himself as the "The Expropriate Devil's Clutches" and is now stretching his hands into Zhu Ji Li. Although Zhuang Cheng was full of honeyed words telling the villagers that demolishing the village is for the betterment of the poor livelihood; that after the development of the luxurious houses, he would allow them to stay on with each family getting a unit. However, none believed him.

Zhuang Cheng told his son of his "ideals" for developing the slum area, hoping that Ruo Long can lend him a helping hand. Ruo Long was glad to help the poor people and agreed to sell the idea to the thick-headed Zhu Ji Li folks to accept the "good intention" from the Zhuang family. On one hand, he wished to personally experience the livelihood of the low-stratum and on the other, he felt that direct canvassing is no easy task. Therefore, he held back his identity and resided in Zhu Ji Li.

Ruo Long changed his name as Black Dog and went to reside in Zhu Ji Li on the pretext that he is avoiding his enemy and seeking refuge therein. Every body in the village tried their best to play a trick on Black Dog, including Wu Jiao Jiao and Yuer. They tormented Black Dog until he is almost half dead. Ruo Long shelve his fighting skills and resourcefulness to pretend to be muddleheaded and stupid. He endured and survived the villagers' bully and teasing. He finally got the approval from Wu Jiao Jiao to stay on.

However, Wu Jiao Jiao knew from the onstart that this bloke called Black Dog is only pretending to be stupid and he actuality is not simple.

Ruo Long purposely get close to Yuer, the little Village Chief, hoping to find out from her the actual situation in the village. Yuer as the world's No. 2 intelligent person, (her mother's is the No. 1 intelligent woman, she dare not overstep that authority), couldn't care two hoods about Black Dog.

Soon, Ruo Long learnt from Xaio Dao who is adept at flying daggers. Xiao Dao, an orphan from young, has the same surname as his grandmother. They depended on the neighbours' care who had groomed him to be intelligent, quick and sharp.

A Long gradually learnt from Yuer and Xiao Dao the various human affairs in Zhu Ji Li. He realised that the villagers are not as unreasonable, mean and dirty, a beast in human shape, as his father had told him. They are actually a bunch of exploited, compelled pitiful people who had been forced up to Mount Liang Shan, and have no way out.

Gradually the kindhearted Ruo Long identified with the villagers. He greatly sympathized and admired them. Unwittingly, he fell for Yuer. At the same time, Yuer too for the first time taste love.

Just when both were to go a stage further, Black Dog's identify fell through and was stand exposed. Yuer in order to avenge, had secretly kept an eye on Zhuang Cheng's movements. One day, she saw Black Dog sneaking into Zhuang household. She then found out that Black Dog is actually Zhuang Cheng's only son, Zhuang Ruo Long! Yuer without a doubt surmised: Zhuang Rou Long had intermingled into Zhu Ji Li to to scheme and deceive everyone to agree to move out so that the Zhuangs can obtain the piece of land to build up luxurious houses. Yuer was grieved and annoyed that Ruo Long had make use of her feelings to attain his objective. Yuer thus turned her love for Ruo Long to hate.

Yuer fell out with Ruo Long! Naturally, he could no longer stay on at Zhu Ji Li after his identify was exposed. He had no choice but to return home to re-strategise.

Zhuang Cheng and Zhu Cong had known each other for a long time. Zhuang Cheng had been making up to Zhu Cong. He firmly grasped this opportunity to build up their friendship further and also want to act as a go-between for Ruo Long and Hai Yan; hoping that a political matrimony can raise his status and power to another level.

Zhu Cong is hypocritical and malignant. He is also circumspect and farsighted, extremely treacherous careerist. He secretly colluded with the Japanese hoping to draw support from them to upsurge and take over the seat of the current President. At that time, Long Fan Tian had shot a dart at his Teacher Ye Tian Yu and at the same time wanted to kill his sweetheart Ye Fei Fei, but Ye Fei Fei was quick and nimble and counter attacked him. Both fought vehemently and fainted from their serious injuries. When Long Fan Tian regained consciousness, he found that Ye Tian Yu and Ye Fei Fei's bodies had disappeared. He thus left with his injuries and then changed his name to Zhuang Cheng. With a set of great deceitful tricks, he slowly climbed his way up in Golden City and became the competent Assistant to the first magnate, Cai Guo Fu, of Golden City. Then, Cai Guo Fu's daughter, Cai Hui Xin had illicit intercourse with one of the members of a secret society. She was pregnant. Her boyfriend was later killed in one of the gang fights. Cai Guo Fu in order to save his face, married off his daughter to Zhuang Cheng. Zhuang Cheng in order to attain Cai Guo Fu's wealth and power, readily accepted the marriage and willingly be the father to the Cai Xin's illegitimate son, Ruo Long. Not long after being married to Cai Hui Xin, Cai Guo Fu died of a heart attack. Zhuang Cheng then successfully became the wealthy and influential magnate in Golden City.

Zhuang Cheng not only don't love Hui Xin but abhors her. He had been cold towards her all through the years and had never touched her. They only pretended to be a loving couple in the presence of others. Hui Xin was thus very depressed and passed away when Ruo Long was 10 years old. However, Zhuang Cheng dotes Ruo Long from the bottom of his heart, cos Ruo Long had worshipped him when he was young, coupled with the fact that Ruo Long was intelligent and sharp. Unconsciously, Zhuang Cheng doted and cultivated
him as his on biological son.

20 years after, Zhuang Cheng had never forgotten about Ye Fei Fei as he had only loved one woman and still loves her, the one that he had stabbed and is missing, not knowing if she is still alive or dead,

If Zhuang Cheng loved Ye Fei Fei deeply, why did he kill Ye Tian Yu and Ye Fei Fei? Just to singly take possession of that 2 million taels of gold? There is a story within a story.

Long Fan Tian's mother couldn't take it and hung herself to death. His father resigned to his backwardness and became a drunkard and in one of his drunken stupor, slipped and drowned in the river. Long Fan Tian had nobody to rely on and lead a vagrant life in the streets and suffered great hardships. He blamed Ye Tian Yu for his broken family. In order to avenge, he became Ye Tian Fu's disciple and decided to learn all Ye Tian Yu's skills and do unto him as he had done unto others. Long Fan Tian and Ye Fei Fei grew up together and their love grew by the days., iuntil one day, Long Fan Tian realised that he is deeply in love with Ye Fei Fei. He feared that he will be swayed by his emotions and be too deeply involved to withdraw, so he ruthlessly suppressed his emotions so as to kill off Ye Tian Yu with Ye Fei Fei after obtaining the 2 million taels of gold bars.

20 years past without a day that he didn't think of Ye Fei Fei. When Ye Fei Fei shot him, that bullet is still lodged in his body and when it rains, his wound would hurt faintly, and his heart will ache more than his wound. All along, he had hoped that Ye Fei Fei is still alive and hope to see her one fine day...but the day when he sees her, what can he do then?

Zhuang Cheng believed that if Ye Fei Fei is still alive, she will come to Golden City to take revenge on him, she would also claim that 2 million taels of gold. He didn't know that Ye Fei Fei had all along been in Golden City in the last 20 years and living on the grounds of the buried gold. She had been keeping watch on that buried treasure and had been waiting for Long Fan Tian's turning up. Ye Fei Fei is Wu Jiao Jiao and her daughter, Yuer is his daughter, cos she was pregnant at that time when Long Fan Tian stabbed him. However, at that time, she wasn't aware that she was pregnant.

Carrying the hurt of being betrayed by her sweetheart and carrying the daughter of the man whom she hated, Ye Fei Fei changed her name to Wu Jiao Jiao and constructed houses in the outskirts of Golden City over the land with the buried gold. She gradually built up Zhu Ji Li. To say that she is keep guard of the buried gold, might as well say that she is waiting for the man whom she loves and yet hate to turn up; waiting for revenge; the more deeply in love, the more hate there will be; with so much hate, does love
still exists?

Up till the present, Zhuang Cheng is still not aware that the Zhu Ji Li's Chief, Wu Jiao Jiao is actually the one whom he is thinking day in and day out, Ye Fei Fei. However, as Zhuang Cheng is Golden City's magnate, Ye Fei Fei had known that Zhuang Cheng is actually Long Fan Tian. She had held her stead so that her grown up daughter can kill him on her behalf.

Is fate play a trick on Long Fan Tian and Ye Fei Fei or on Zhuang Ruo Long and Yuer?

Ever since Yuer knew that Black Dog is Zhuang Cheng's son, she hated Ruo Long to the bones. Not because Ruo Long was his arch enemy's son but cos he had cheated on her feelings, her first love and also her first kiss...

Yuer decided to settle scores with Ruo Long. Of course, she didn't forget that Ruo Long's father is her No. 1 enemy. Yuer cudgeled her brains for countermeasures. She pretended to forgive Ruo Long and reconciled with him; using a love trap to capture him and then put to death, both father and son. Wu Jiao Jiao opposed to Yuer using the "love trap" as she was worried that her daughter can't refrain from falling in love with Ruo Long. Wu Jiao Jiao didn't know that Ruo Long is not Zhuang Cheng's biological son and was worried that should she fall in love with her half-brother, the outcome would be unconceivable.

Yuer ignored her mother's opposition and bent on having her own way. She initiated looking up Ruo Long and pretended that she will try her best to convince the villagers to co-operate with them; accepting the Zhuangs offer and temporarily move out of Zhu Ji Li. She requested that Ruo Long give her time frame of 6 months. Ruo Long thought it was for real and was jubilant. Ruo Long was secretly in love with Yuer. Now that Yuer had personally come for a reconciliation, Ruo Long all the more raise a notch of his love for her. He introduced Yuer to his father. Coincidentally, the housekeeper had left. Ruo Long suggested to let Yuer have a go at it. Thus, Yuer found a chance to stay in the Zhuang's household and became their housekeeper.

Since Yuer became the Zhuang's housekeeper, she and Ruo Long were with each other day in and day out; and their love relationship grew stronger. Yuer thought that she could control her emotions; thought that she is only playing a love game without realizing that she is getting deeper and deeper into it.

Wang Lei has wild ambitions. She is casting greedy eyes on the Zhuang's wealth as well as to the 2 million taels of gold legend. Moreover, she has a small secret in her heart. The man that she wants is not Zhuang Cheng but the handsome and bright, able and wise Zhuang Ruo Long.

The finding caused ripples of love and hate entanglement in her heart! She ordered Yuer to lure Zhuang Cheng to Zhu Ji Li. She decided to kill Zhuang Cheng personally.

When Zhuang Cheng met with Wu Jiao Jiao again, would all the old scores of love and resentment be settled? Yuer thought that her mother had killed Zhuang Cheng. Unexpectedly, at the crucial juncture, Wu Jiao Jiao could not bear to kill Zhuang Cheng. Zhuang Cheng vindicated himself. Ruo Long realised a change in Yuer's attitude. Both quarrelled heatedly and coupled with Wang Lei creating obstacles by revealing to Ruo Long that Yuer and him are siblings. Although Rou Long find it difficult to believe, nevertheless wanted to question Zhuang Cheng closely, and unexpectedly saw Zhuang Cheng's expressing his concern for Yuer and that both father and daughter should get together more often. The conversation further confirmed that he and Yuer are siblings. Although Yuer resisted to accept the truth that Zhuang Cheng is her biological father but she was unable to deceive herself and others to continue the love relationship with Ruo Long. Both were suffering in agony.

At the same time, General Zhu compelled Ruo Long to marry his daughter. Zhuang Cheng was forced to be objective of the situation with regard to his family long term benefit and have to compel Ruo Long to marry Hai Yan. Ruo Long resisted and ran away from home, leaving Golden City for Yin Du, (Silver City).

General Zhu's secret collusion with the Japanese was inadvertently discovered by Zhuang Cheng and Wang Lei. General Zhu had no choice but to drag Zhuang Cheng into the water to force him to betray their country with him. Zhuang Cheng procrastinated, conspiring to extricate himself at the same time, he also planned to eliminate General Zhu, the quisling. Wang Lei for the sake of her own benefit, betrayed Zhuang Cheng at the crucial moment by colluding with General Zhu and set up a snare to frame Zhuang Cheng of the charge of General Zhu colluding with the Japanese. Zhuang Cheng was put into jail awaiting for his execution by shooting.

Wu Jiao Jiao directed Yuer to find Ruo Long in Silver City to ask him back to rescue Zhuang Cheng. In the end, Wu Jiao Jiao, Yuer and Ruo Long collaborated devising a plan to vanquish General Zhu and Wang Lei. General Zhu died under the misfired firing of his own unit. Wang Lei in her escape slipped and fell of the cliff and died.

Zhuang Cheng after clearing his unrighted wrong, revealed Ruo Long's true lot. He is not his biological son and he and Yuer are not siblings. Both can carry on with the matters of the heart.

With regard to the buried 2 million taels of gold...since now that every one has enough to eat and clothe, so let it continued to be buried! Let not smother the fairy tale legend and let Ye Fei Fei and Long Fan Tian continue to be the legendary figures.

Zhuang Cheng decided to retreat the battle line to travel the world with Wu Jiao Jiao. Ruo Long became the new master of the Zhuang household. He devoted himself to rebuild Zhu Ji Li to enable all staying therein to live and work in peace and contentment. With regards to Ruo Long, he willing fall into Yuer's "hoax", to be her love captive, agreed to love her only in his whole life, be her slave and would not cast another eye on any other girl. A pair of lovers became husband and wife at a grand wedding banquet at Zhu Ji Li, thus ending the story.

Alec Su very much like Li Qian, he even publicly praised her in his BLOG entries couple of times. not only because she is exquisitely lovable (he even called her "Little" Li Qian), but because their character matched very well with each other. You Peng plays the "perfect man" while Li Qian plays the "beautiful swindler". He said : "Li Qian, certainly worth mentioning. Although not professionally-trained actor, but her performing skill exquisite in nature. Definitely lives up to her reputation. I have cooperated with many actors, she certainly has gifted talent. Nope, it's still there. She actually has alot of moles all over her face, but most are small or can easily be covered with makeup.

If you're refering to pix of her and Chen Long, then yes, her mole was make-up to disappear b/c she's playing her mother when she was young. The Young Fei Fei doesn't have a mole onher lips, while the daughter Yuer does.

In reality, Qian still has her lovely beauty mole ^_^
