DGQB should be up there as well, along with Zhuo Bufan and Zhang 3 Feng...
DGQB will beat the hell out of SPT.
Z3F can be second, SM and DGQB can be first.
My ranking chart (estimated):
1. Zhang San Feng
2. Dugu Qiu Bai
3. Ah Qing
4. Sweeper Monk
5. Xiao Feng
(And just in case you're wondering)
6. Wuyazi, Tian Shan Tong Lao, Li Qiushui, (Huang Shang)
7. Duan Yu, Xu Zhu, Yang Guo, Guo Jing
8. Xiao Yuan Shan, Murong Bo, Wang Chong Yang, Shi Potian
9. Jiumozhi, Jinlun Guo Shi, Lin Chao Ying, Zhou Botong, Zhang Wuji
10. Yi Deng, Ouyang Feng, Huang Yao Shi, Hong Qi Gong, Lord Long & Lord Mu
to crap with that no one knows DGQB true power for nuts, but im sure SPT will make it to top 5, and duan yu and xuzhu will be a notch higher then xiaofeng and some other crappy people in the darn list, i think that Z3f dont even make it to de top 5 but is unequalled in terms of understanding
Wow you sure Z3F is better than DGQB and SM?Originally Posted by IcyFox

There's A LOT of working involved. To put it simply, I have to conduct an individual analysis for each and every individual in my chart and then work out their parameters (see the link in my sig. for details). From there I'll have to do a bit of mathematical calculations before I can tabulate their ranking.
...what what exactly did that mean? :rolls:Originally Posted by IcyFox

Why is it I'm the only one who bothers to rank Ah Qing?
Not in any order
Sweeper Monk
Sword Demon
Shi Po Tian
Xu Zhu
Dong Fang Bu Bai
First off IcyFox, Who is Ah Qing? If for one thing, I do not know who he is, I assume others then would feel the same way.
Felix,
Ah Qing, is the young lady in JY's short story about the Sword of the Yueh maiden.
She learned her techniques from an ape, and imparted it so that her kingdom's army was victorious. At the end of the story, due to love issues, she had to confront 2000 soilders and exhibits feats that (some alleges) equals to strong inner power.
She cannot be considered as a main JY cannon character unfortunately.
Icyfox,
The opening poster asked for fighters, not martial artists who were the expert in their philosophy etc. Z3F simply is not a Top 5 fighter whichever way u look at it.
Han Solo
I would rank them like this:
1. SWORD GOD Zhuo Bufan - the peak of perfection, the crystal clear transmission of speech across peaks, the tossing of objects across mountains, the sword halo, the thrusting of delicate blades into stone... simply peerless.
2. who cares
3. who cares
4. who cares
.....
87. The King of Green Bat Wei Yixiao
...
765. Guo Fu
Thanks Han Solo for the info.Originally Posted by Han Solo
Yeah, I wanted to say not many people just like me even know who the heck Ah Qing is, never mind how powerful she is.
Ah Qing perhaps belongs in the most underrated list then. I feel guys in Lin Shing Kuet and Sword of Yueh Maiden always get looked over in greatest of anything. Unless of course, the time period of these two novels have relative weak fighter to begin with.
One must be like CC or PJ in achieving the "peak of perfection in giving props to minor characters or characters from not so popular novels" in order for these characters to get more attention. It would definitely help if the person has an awesome-sounding nickname like Sword God as well. I can care less for Zhuo Bufan, but add in Sword God Zhuo Bufan, it sounds so nice.

im srry but although z3f was high in internal energy.. he didn't even know all of the 9 yang ... he probably couldn't beat ZMJ in a fight.. and why ZMJ isn't up there is quite a mystery. .. im sure Yang and QQDLKY can equal to 9 yin and 9 yang..
(not in any order)
Sweeper monk
DQB
ZMJ
SPT
Wuyazi or Child Mistress of Heavenly Mountain Tianshan Tonglao or Li Qiushui
With the preponderence of Super-Greats in DGSD, I don't think anybody from the CONDOR HEROES TRILOGY or STATE OF DIVINITY will crack the Top Five.

I'm guessing Ah Qing would be as powerful, if not more so than the ROCH greats, but I wouldn't rank her higher than that.
Also, I doubt Z3F is really that powerful. In his eyes, GJ reached a very high level so that means Z3F is either on par with GJ or even a little less weaker. I doubt GJ would be able to win in a fight against XF. I know JY mentioned something about Z3F being very powerful in an interview, but it might've been taken out of context cause I doubt JY would claim Z3F to be the most powerful fighter in his novels (perhaps in HSDS only). From HSDS, there's no evidence that he reached a level so high he could knock out guys like CMK in a move or two. He subdue one of the two Yuan Ming elders easily, but they aren't even close to the same level as the triology greats or the DGSD elites. Sweeps already showed he could subdue great level or higher fighters quite easily.
In terms of an actual fight, I doubt Hui Jook and DY would be able to defeat XF one on one. Sure, they have higher inner power, but fights aren't won on inner power alone.
Here's how I see it. Not counting Damo,
1. Sweeps
2. DGKB (maybe or maybe not. little evidence to really say anything)
3. Shi Po Tin
4. XF (yes, I think he could be more powerful than the Xiao Yiu elders in terms of
fighting that is)
5. Tin Shan Tone Low
Honestly, my list could be completely off, but there's no way to say it is or it isn't. None of these guys ever fought each other (except for a brief encounter with Sweeps and XF and we all knew who owned who) so it's impossible to tell. Ranking fighters from diff eras are fun, but there will never be a true answer cause there's no way to compare guys from diff eras.
edit - oh yeah, whoever said Zuo Bufan is a top 5 JY fighter must be reading too many CC and PJ posts.
