    Default Stupidest names in wuxia

What are some really ridiculous-sounding names of organizations or people in wuxia?

I for one nominate the Divine Agriculture Clan from DGSD.

That's a name of a star, and also of a mythical emperor who started agriculture in the Yellow River region. Not ridiculous.

Thanks, I did not know that.

Sounds stupid, nevertheless (according to my English translation)

Its normally quite horrific sounding if you take the Chinese characters and did a literal English translation.

Shen Nong sounds much better then Divine Farming.

Shen Nong was the name of the Emperor who first taught herb use to the Chinese people. So that clan name quite befits them since they use poison (probably herb based poison - from the name). So if you wanted to translate the name using its meaning rather then a literal translation, one could use - Sect of the Ancestral Emperor or something like that.

yes, translation is a tricky matter for it might end up something else together.

It sounds really cool in Chinese / Cantonese though and so does Yip Goo Sing.

Lee Chau Shui just sounds silly cause if you say it in Cantonese, it sounds like you're trying to "feel her up".

In Hong Kong Cantonese slang, it also sounds like, "You skimmed off some money."

They are, but they aren't necessarily a *beggar's* best friend.

Her real name sounds good though.

Her real name is "Gong Zhu" (sounds like 'princess' but different character).

People were fed up with beggars's going around the neigbhourhood begging for food, wine and sing girls, thus they train up carnivorous dogs to bite the crutches of Beggar, castrating them.
To counter such terrible acts they use the stick to defend themselves and smash the skulls of the dogs, then carrying them away for a good feed that should last days.
