It is because people benefited alot from DGQB's teachings.

    During his era, he is....

WCY couldn't even be defeated by 4 of the most poweful fighters in Wulin.
It's not as if HYS, YD, OYF and H7G all ganged up on him, and he blew them away.... It was a Huashan Tournament. Not a beat-up-WCY game.

And people still always find reasons for WCY to be much weaker than everyone else.
Honestly, WCY is hardly the only target.

DGQB got doubted as 'silly plot device' and 'as if anybody would believe'.

DFBB was downplayed as only a mere LOCH Great level.

Huh? Where did you get this?
DFBB used a 1 inch needle held with two fingers to block a full power downward slash from LHC and didn't budge at all. That's immense. He also fought 4 people (3 top, one mid level), excluding RYY, simultaneously without even panting.

To answer the second part of your post, it's my opinion is what the natural progression of an elite swordsman's kung fu is at the last stage. His inner power is such that he can transfer his power to even a leaf of grass and use it as a sword.
    This account is retired.

    Nope..
    Unless We consider these
Tai Chi swordplay > Heavey Iron Sword/Wooden Sword Technique (in terms of martial art philosopy)
    Chongxu > YG (as a fighter/swordman)

Regarding the original subject of the thread - while LHC's sword skills as described by the author give the impression of being more sophisticated than YG's, it's worth remembering that YG mastered high level sword/weapon arts as well - Jade Maiden sword art (Lin Chaoying), Jade Flute sword (Huang Yaoshi), dog-beating stick and the counter-moves to it. Even the Quanzhen sword art which looks fairly average when used by the likes of Zhao Zhijing would be a totally different proposition when used by a real expert. One would think YG's skills would compare well against the unnamed "advanced sword arts" Ren Woxing used when he crossed swords with LHC. In that duel LHC was probably ahead technically but Ren was holding his own due to a combination of superb technique and high inner energy. YG also has a very strong technical base and great inner power. A contest between YG and LHC should be quite an epic match.

Chongxu probably isn't at YG's level, but he isn't the top practitioner of Taiji sword either. You'd have to imagine Zhang Sanfeng or Zhang Wuji would be a step ahead, or more...

Nach even Chongxu could give LHC a lot of "trouble" and since YG swordplay (and overall skill) was better than Chongxu that's mean not true YG < LHC in terms of "swordplay" (philosopy and actual fighting/battle prowess aspect)..

I alwayz thought Chongxu was the "strongest" swordmen LHC ever fought..
