Default Who were all the parties who parcipated in the Gate of Ah Mun Massacre?

And please, no "go check out Wuxiapedia" answers. If I could have found it there, I would have.

    Here's who I have:

    1. Yeun Chi of Shaolin

    2. another monk (can't remember his name)

    3. Chiu Cheen Sheun

    4. Iron Faced Judge (there was also one in Gu Long's LUK SIU FUNG, but that's beside the point)

    5. Granny Tam

    6. Grandpa Tam

    7. Chief Wong of the Beggar's Union (?)

    8. Elder Chui of the Beggar's Union (?)

Maybe you were thinking of Reverend Zhiguang, the one who ate the paper containing Big Brother's identity.

A lot of warriors whose body were torned into pieces by Xiao Yuanshan.

Most of whom were anonymous, I'm guessing?

Were there any really A-list fighters in on the massacre (and I mean A-list at the time of the massacre itself, not thirty years later)? Or was Siu Yeun San essentially killing a bunch of scrubs?

There were a few named ones, but probably not very interesting to us. They are:

"Forever Winning Sabre King" Wang Weiyi
"Elite Sword of Yellow Mountain" Taoist Heyun
"The Iron Pagoda of Shangxi" Fang Daxiong
One of Three Warriors of Jiangxi Du family

According to Reverend Zhiguang, the then- Abbot Xuanci was "extremely good." Zhiguang also said that he thought Xiao Yuanshan's martial arts should be unmatched under heaven during that era. This could mean that 30 years before DGSD, the martial arts standard really sucked.

That's quite a bold statement. I'm guessing he never came into contact with the Siu Yiu Elders and MRB?

It's safe to say that Zhiguang never knew of the Xiaoyao Elders (not many people knew).

As for Murong Bo, it's possible that he kept his powerfulness in secret. Otherwise it might be hard for him to justify not participating in the ambush of Xiao Yuanshan, considering he was the one who got the ball rolling!

The Murong family's prestige was built in part by the incredible talent that was MuRong Bo.

IIRC MRB faked illness just before the event and then pretended that he was dead afterwards so that Xuanci couldn't question him.
"Anything you can't say NO to is your MASTER, and you are its SLAVE."

"I disapprove of what I say, but I will defend to the death my right to say it."

As what Candide said. He faked and pretended to die from illness.

MRB's power should be quite well known. He was already beating people like the Yellow Eyebrow Monk when he was a teen.

But Yellow Eyebrowed Monk did not realize it was the Murong family right away.

Did Cui Baichuan realize it was Murong? I don't remember.

Anyway, Zhiguang did say that Xiao Yuanshan = #1, have fun figuring out why.

Probably because he never saw anyone smash so many 'elites' with such ease in his life.
