According to the weibo of a TR employee, the poor girl didn't tell anyone for three days that she was ill, in order not to hold up the filming. Apparently acute pancreatitis is painful enough that even grown men need painkillers for it. The illness is prob brought on by irregular hrs and meal times. Meanwhile, she's been operating on 2-3 hrs of sleep a day (and once, only 20 minutes to nap b/n shoots).
I know dancers are trained to be able to withstand a lot of pain, but geez, this is a little too much. She really needs to listen to her body and not be so hard on herself, for the "greater good" or whatever they're calling it. Thinking of YM and the way she's been punishing herself with the nonstop filming, it's a wonder these actors don't get sick more often.

Actually Yang Mi does get sick a lot--before, it felt like every other week she had a cold; she also often came down with fevers and there were several times where she had to get IV in between filming, or right after her scene ended she would be carried off to get IV. (Especially during the start of filming for Gong, as well as during BJAQGS--I think it was her costar, Li Chen, who mentioned that she could barely lift herself off the bed--whenever it was her turn to film, people had to physically help her up.)

With the way some of these actors work non-stop, it's no wonder a lot of them fall sick quite often. I don't follow many celebs that closely but it definitely seems like it's quite common for them--e.g. I remember there were a few times where FSF was also quite sick during his hectic schedules and had to get IV as well...and LYF was left with pretty serious health problems due to ROCH filming as well (so she has to be careful in pacing her filming).

Anyways, it's good to see LSS recovered! Hopefully she doesn't push herself too hard and paces herself appropriately--health is definitely the most important thing!

I suspect that the filming schedule was rushed for Sad Fairytale b/c that for her previous drama got delayed—she was jetting to and from award events at one point, time which must have held up the filming at points. Remember, she didn’t end up going to some events at the end because she used up all those “vacation days.” And Da Mo Yao was supposed to start filming on Feb 15 iirc (now I’m reading it’s going to get delayed till April—prob cause one of the males leads just ran off to join Yu Mama!). The instance where she only got 20 minutes of sleep was partially caused by the commercial shoot for Pejoy. Simply put, TR didn’t manage their client’s schedule in a reasonable way.


I’m also surprised that LSS didn’t even let on to her assistant (named Shan Shan?) that she’d been in pain (they rushed her to the hospital when she threw up on set and couldn't stand up). Apparently she started feeling sick on the 3^rd, so she must have been feeling crappy during the shoot too. I guess she was good at hiding it cause there was a weibo post from her stand-in that day that she was smiley the whole time. The fans were all joking that it must have been being around the food that made her so happy.





Unrelated: It's rumored that LSS will endorse Vichy cosmetics (薇姿 in Chinese), a skincare brand under the L’Oréal banner.

Important tidbits:
1. Three things Karen promised for BBJX2:
- No time travelling
- Not entering the palace
- The original cast will be kept

2. She will not be like Gong 2, only letting the original leads (FengMi, in this case LongShi) be 'soysauce' in BBJX2.

3. Fourth and Eighth have made sure their schedules are free for BBJX2 filming, and YH has confirmed that he will be participating in BBJX2. Lin Geng Xin and LSS are TR's artists, so they're naturally confirmed.

4. It is definitely a modern drama, and the story is still being drafted. (I hope the scriptwriter is good)

5. There was a reporter who asked, "Who will RuoXi end up with here?" Karen replied, "Maybe neither." (Thus, there is a chance that LSS will end up with 13th or 14th.)
