LSS has signed with Wei Zi. They will be filming a mini movie together, although the plot is still unknown. I wonder if that will start soon? Mini movies shouldn't take too long to film. If they start this week, LSS should be able to be in DMY.

Wei Zi is the Chinese transliteration for Vichy cosmetics. Glad to hear the endorsement deal has been confirmed. Here's the official site for the brand (the name comes from the thermal hot springs in Vichy, France, which is used in their formulations). Seems like they have stuff specifically for sensitive skin, which fits SS well--way to turn around the hoopla over her breakouts in Bu Bu into something positive, lol (I feel bad for Baishentang, though ).
It's also nice b/c from what I heard, Vichy hasn't used a celebrity to endorse their products previously (part of the reason people were hesitant to believe in the rumor at first). Good for her.

saw a post somewhere else about shishi and i felt i had to reply.. but to embark on discussion about shi shi in another thread would be inappropriate so i'm just posting here...

for a person who has watched most of the shows lss were in, i admit i was never a big fan of her until bbjx.. i always felt that she was the less pretty replacement tang ren found for liu yi fei after she decided to go into movies.. the first show i saw shi shi in was snyjj, then mu nian ci - not exactly inspiring characters (personally - sorry i know some of you liked shi shi since loch08! but i was too taken away by guo jing, huang rong and yang kang!) i reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaally disliked the character long kui in cp3, but i thought the scenes between her and long yang were the best in the entire show itself. up until then.. liu shi shi has been.. ok. not particularly bad, but nothing outstanding by itself. (i havent had time to watch Guai Xia Yi Zhi Mei and Tian Ya Zhi Nu so i cant judge her performance in those shows)

Then came bbjx. When the casting came out, as many of us were, i was skeptical of shi shi's ability to take on such a big role.. my initial thoughts were "ah.. tang ren is short of female leads".. but honestly and objectively from the viewpoint of a person who has done some professional acting before, lss as rx was incredible. True she had alot of help from experienced and good male co-actors, and a great script with lots of emotional scenes for her to work with, but not every "actor" can pull such scale of character off. In this show, lss moved from being what i call a "pretender" to a proper "actor".. you can tell how much effort she put into this role, how she was always running back to her copy of the original book to compare rx's emotions at the time itself, and how she continued to shed tears when talking about rx, long after filming ended. I respect that kind of commitment. From personal experience, it is from finding such a character, where you have invested so much in, and gained so much from, where you find that love and desire to act. In any case, the fact that she managed to pull off such a role, shows her potential to continue to give such great roles

Lets not start about how lss is "not pretty" shall we, i personally think she is classy. and please.. she was sleeping 2, 3 hours a day. The way to judge an actress is not by looks alone. How "matching" she can be with her male co-star also depends on the kind of chemistry they have together. my shige has never acted as a couple together, and i think its far too early to say that they dont match. All i know is their "sister-brother" scene in cp3 still has me lusting for more shi ge, and now i think its finally the right time for them to "together".

And so i have found a new respect for lss, and am now a converted "xiao shi zi". tang ren will continue to cast her and i will continue shoving her down my throat because i think its just the beginning for this girl (or rather, this is a new beginning for shi shi). what remains to see is whether bbjx was just a one hit wonder, will she be typecasted, or has lss finally found herself in her transformation into an actress.

^^LSS is not the kind of actress that people will see and "like" right away, especially when you watched her series in her earlier days. She's not stunningly gorgeous at first sight and her acting was mediocre, but I found many people said she grew on them. It's her dedication, hard work, and her progress in trying to improve in her acting that moved people. As for beauty, not the best looking out of all her peers, but she is getting more and more beautiful in my eyes.

LSS was never a replacement for LYF because LYF never belonged to Tang Ren. LSS replaced Lin Jia Yu (princess Chai in Young Warrior) when she decided to leave Tangren.
