A contest of happiness

Most of us know by now that Dugu Qiubai would have been extremely pleased to have a duel with Ren Woxing.

But he's not the only happy old goat in SPW.

Abbot Fangzheng was said to be wildly joyous when the Vajra Sutra was presented to him as a gift by Xiang Wentian. Furthermore, he was described to be "endlessly happy" - the exact same description which was used to describe Dugu Qiubai's joy.

So, I ask yee, who was happier?

I'd say choice two because FZ was endlessly happy, and after DGQB beats down RWX he'll probably recover. I doubt DGQB never met someone else of RWX's level during his own era.

I thought Dugu being happy was just a thought by someone. Whereas the Fangzheng incident really happened.

Of course Dugu's happiness is greater. Both Dugu and Ren are martial arts addicts. Had they met, they would've befriended each other and spent years to exchange moves and ideas. In contrast, Fangzheng could feel exceedingly happy when XWT gave him the Vajra Sutra but after several weeks or months that happiness would slip away because of the lack of interactions between the Sutra and the old monk.
The only chance I can see for Fangzheng to be happier is Xiang Wentian giving him the Kama Sutra instead of the Vajra Sutra.
