    Default Amazing Musical Talents

Just thought I'd share some musical talents, either well known or not, that I personally think is amazing. I love seeing these types of shtuff so hope you all will share also as I would like to expand my horizon.

This kid is awesome. Sungha Jung. he's like 10 yrs old or something. Pay attention to the arrangement he's playing. He's playing the background music and the freakin melody(vocal)!

Many of you may have heard of Jerry C.
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=hmOBTP0iDqY

Arnel Pineda. He got picked up by Journey via youtube and will be the new lead singer. Im jealous of that voice!

Due to several complaints, I will stop using the terms "Babe" and "Baby" in reference to our female counterpart. They will now be replaced with "B*tch."

Singer from Steelheart, Michael Matijevic. Voice for Mark Wahlberg's character in the movie, "Rock Star." This guy can sing crazy high. Love his voice in "We All Die Young!"

    She's Gone - Steelheart

We All Die Young - Steel Dragon(made up band from Rock Star)

No offense, but what is so special about his voice? I can think of many singers who can sing this song as well or even better. For some reason, I kept envisioning and imagining Marc Anthony singing this song, and I think Marc’s voice is more suitable for it. I’m simply not impressed.

I respect your opinion. It's all subjective anyways. He has nice tone, has a wide range, and Im most impressed with his highs. He's prolly in the same range as Marc...and guys that can sing like this are rare as it is. Therefore, any male vocalist in that range gets my respect.

When discussing amazing musical talents, I would first think of Prince, a one of a kind who can do it all and do well, or David Tao, who writes/produces good songs, preforms and can play instruments.

As for new singer, I like listening to 19-year-old Joana Wang (王若琳). Here are a few of her songs:

    - 有你的快樂 or the happiness with you (mandarin)

    - let's start from here

Yes Prince most definately. He's a genius in my book.
"Arms of Orion" - Prince and Sheena Easton

David Tao too. I love his song "Melody". Although some of his other songs sounds like western songs I've heard before.

Oh thanks for introducing Joana Wang. Reminds me of Dido "Let's Start From Here" sounds so familiar...like I heard it in a western commercial or sumping?

    Default Drummers

Drummers rarely get noticed and although I don't know much about drumming, there are two drummers who get my attention every time.

Stephen Morris, the guy is a human metronome and he's the only band member who is a capable musician. I don't care, I still love Joy Division and New Order despite their lack of competence .

Alan Wren, better known as Reni, is considered by many to be the best drummer of his generation. His drum kit is very simple, yet his beat rhythms are inventive and soulful. He also often sings whilst he drums and that is very impressive, at least to me. It looks so easy with him, the most relaxed drummer I've seen.
My obsessions: Joy Division, New Order, Bones, The Office.

Do bears bear? Do bees bee?

You cant forget your fellow canuck...."Neil Peart!!!" Drummer from Rush.

Man...Neil is an animal. Nothing I've heard so far that can compare to his solo in "Tom Sawyer."

    Neil Peart just showin off.

My gosh, did you see his drum kit?!? Still, I'm more impressed with what Reni can do with a 3-piece kit.

    This will sound redundant...

Charlotte Church. Her voice is one of the best I've ever come across. Too bad she's going Britney's way.

    Billy Gilman doesn't suck either.

Connie Talbot, the six-year-old. She is pitch perfect!
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

She is very good for her age. Give her a few more years and she will be great.

Yeah, she is amazing. Put aside her cuteness, she has the powers to catch that attention and bring a crowd to silence. Even a totally upset Simon Cowell sees "rainbow" when she sings.

Just like Simon says, she got guts.
