Revisited from the Valley of Lost Threads.

I liked the idea of survival of the wuxia threads. But for now, let us consider the idea of Survival of SPCNET Members.

To make it more fair, how about this rule: if you are nominated as a candidate, you may accept or decline (out of respect for you). If you accept, then others may vote on you, but you may NOT vote in the game at all, for yourself or for any other candidate.

For example, if PJ and Ken Cheng were nominated, and they accept, then PJ and Ken Cheng cannot vote in the game, for themselves or for any other candidate; they get to sit back and watch. Meanwhile, let's say Candide and CC are not nominated, so they can vote for PJ or Ken Cheng or any other candidate.

The actual game will have a new thread, maybe in Off Topic if members who don't visit wuxia forum are considered. We can use this original thread to discuss game feasibility.

Good point, the off topic forum would definitely be better since if we're actually eliminating members...it's not that relavent to wuxia. and the wuxia section is pretty "dead" nowadays...

i only suggested we start a new thread because it would probably garner more attention than a thread that has "2008" on it

as for the game, i'm not sure if "not allowing nominees" to vote is such a good idea. If you had a long list of nominees...you won't be getting a lot of voters. i would say, just that the nominees cannot vote for themselves. plus, a little backstabbing and sabotaging would be fun . if you accept the nomination, you should be open minded enough not to take offense when people vote you on/off.

I've never watched any survivor reality games so I don't know how a specific candidate would be eliminated or conversely how one would "survive."

Is there a certain number of candidates allowed in the Survival of the Spcnet Members? Are the candidates put into Battle Royale-esque theoretical scenarios? I think that not letting the candidates vote for themselves but allowing them to vote for others is a good idea if we consider the amount of actual active users. Of course, we are trusting one another not to create multiple spcnet identities LoL!

LoL I'm with Ren Ying Ying, I don't think the topic is garnering much attention from lack of PR...took me 8 years to realize that there were other forums than the series and actors/actress forums haha!
