she's quite cute and very funny in real life, if anyone has the chance go and search for her on youtube and see, she's been in the industry since 2005, as a regular on the TV show Blackie's Society (or sumthing).

I heard she's been the most popular 'mei mei' (what they call the girls on the show) since it started, but this is taken from a die hard fan point of view so i don't know how much it can be trusted. i do know, however, that she is currently the most famous out of the bunch and is listed as no one on the mei mei poll on their official site.

At the moment, her contract will be expiring so its been rumoured that she will leave the show, this has not been confirmed but seemed to be strongly hinted by both Channel V and Gui Gui herself.

She's been rumored to be dating Wang Zi from Channel V, whom she paired off with in Brown Sugar Macchiato and Arron Yan whom she paired off with in PiLi MIT.

She was also rumored with Xiao Gui from PiLi MIT and Hei Ren, the 'teacher' in Blackie's Society, though this stemed from her moving into his mothers house, and both parties and Hei Ren's girlfriend Fan Fan has denied these allegations.

she's also an actress in her own right, she has moved out of the circle and will soon (i think) be leaving Channel V, though Hey Girls is with Warner music so she will still be in Hey Girls.

She was in Pi Li MIT with Arron Yan and if the film ever resumes filming will be in Momo Love with Arron Yan.

i didn't know who she is until i actually search for her and she's very popular it seems, just not on spcnet.

i think this girl can go far, and hopefully she will, i like her and her acting isn't that bad, needs improvement but she's getting there.

she has the sweetest smile and cries well.

she freaked me out in PiLi MIT when she was evil. it was just so unexpected coming from her, she's usually so cheery.

xiao xun was only lead in one film, she was supporting in the others.

gui gui was lead in both her films, i still maintain gui gui and ya tou was the lead for brown sugar macchiato. they were the only two girls who had consistent appearance and impact to storyline.

xiao xun was in a movie where she played a large role and was lead in brown sugar chivaries. beside that she played small characters.

if count it like that daya appeared in quite a few films too.

but then my fav will always be gui gui so i made a thread. and hopefully momo love will start shooting soon.

I think for most groups about 5-6 people is already a lot, but anymore than that becomes excess... I wonder how these members would do individually if they weren't part of a group?? Well competition in the circle is very high, so I think it is too early to say how she will do. THere are many many actors and actresses in the circle these days that it is hard to survive let alone be successful. Therefore, who knows will she actually be successful or not? I have seen many talented actors and actresses that just did not make it due to various reasons. Anyways, only time can tell how she can really do...Good luck to her!!

Its cool you like Gui Gui and creates a thread, no need to show how she's apparently better than her other members. From the shows you've listed in OP, I haven't seen Pili MIT so I can't comment, but for Black Sugar Machiatto, she was just one of the couples in it, not anymore notable than Daya, Xiao Xun, Ya Tou etc, not to mention the show was about the lives of the Lollipop guys. No way that Yatou and Guigui were leads for that show, Guigui did not have more influence on the plot than any other girl, with exception of maybe Apple.

Guigui was more of a cameo for 黑糖群侠传, she appeared for maybe 30mins throughout the entire series.

You also missed out on Xiao Xun being Lead No1 in 18禁不禁 and involvement in 翻滚吧蛋炒饭 (female #2?).

I doubt they will survive, with possible exception of Xiao Xun who participated in lots of acting roles and does a little singing. The group used to be bigger, with Tongtong, but she was expelled I think. She's now a host in some child's show.

Well, I think connections and fate is a part of it as well as timing. Therefore, whether she makes it big or not is not just based on her personality. It is more of a combination of connections, luck, etc... I think is more of how stars survive rather than their looks or talent. The circle just gets more and more ugly these days.

That's the problem with being a part of a group sometimes. IF your group gets famous and popular, the members of that group will enjoy the fame. However, IF the group breaks apart only some members may be able to survive, especially if they were already stronger as individuals. Like with 183 Club, only Sam and Ming Dao seemed to be strong and now that the group seems to have disbanded, they are the only 2 that still gets a lot of acting jobs and other things...While the rest of the other members just seem to have dissolved from the circle.

I totally agree because I think she is cute and all, but that does not make her superior to the other members of that group. I have to say that she does stand out to me in some ways, but then again, there are many other cute actresses around so I am not sure if she will be really successful... I have been fans of many stars and idols through the years and I think it just depends on their luck,timing, connections and fate that gets them to where they are rather than whether they are talented or not. Well in Macchiato, honestly speaking, GuiGui had more involvement than Xiao Jie, Apple and Xiao Man, and less involvement than Yatou, Xiao Xun, Daya, about the same as Meimei and Tongtong. My rough estimate.

She had so little involvement in 黑糖群侠传 that I forgot she was ever in it if nobody reminded me. She was not part of the representatives from 4 Schools. I think she was part of the bad side in the show, cameo for a little bit in the final episode or so.
