Well, I think it is, depending how easily influenced you are. If they're rated 18+ and so on, they specifically state it.
The most they'll go for in most dramas are kissing scenes. I've never seen one that went beyond its limits.
I've been watching K-dramas since I was like 12 years old?
- currently watching: Fashion King, Rooftop Prince, Love Rain, and Equator Man-
- recent favorite drama: The Princess's Man-
yeah, it's pretty strict as to what you can do 'sexual' wise in a korean drama. i don't see limitations for violence but if you're concerned about the sexual side you can rest assured. they ban anything like that. many songs get banned for their 'inappropriate' lyrics and get labeled 18+ or whatever. and music videos don't get aired if it shows too much, so i'm guessing it's the same for dramas.
tq,sunlight..i really appreciate ur reply...
Yeah, no problem at all .
I mean I've seen a couple of Jap. dramas and they're much more open. Perhaps, Korean dramas are the most conservative out of the Asian population... I don't know, maybe I haven't seen enough of the other kinds.
As for violence, they usually censure stuff... like even the knives and so on O.o.

After watching modern Korean dramas you'd think every Korean is a virgin since the most they ever do is some light kissing and hands holding.
They are prudes to the extreme.
It's not so much the explicit themes that may be inappropriate. I think it's essential to have a taste of life first before delving into such dramas, which may distort perception. Little girls may be immensely disappointed later on upon discovering that Prince Charming doesn't exist in generous amounts (if at all). In other words, they need to have the prudence to distinguish between reality and otherwise, as well as the gray area that dwells between.
