Fengxifan is a master at stabbing enemies' vital acupoints with the tip of his sword. because the tip is very pointed and sharp, and the stab is executed at an extreme speed, his victims often die instantly without bleeding.

Actually, does it make sense or is it some funny logic from Jin Yong? No matter how fast, even a meat or so-called a dead meat, could still gush out blood if we stab at it.

He has strong internal power that make the sword seals the flesh on it way out.

    Yup, funny logic.
You do know that it is just fiction, dont you?

His logic may be derived from real acupuncture. when u get a professional acupuncture, you won't bleed.

You got me thinking! I don't recall I got any bleeding when I underwent an acupuncture session years ago, so your point makes sense.

It's just a literary device where a cut is so cleanly done that it doesn't even bleed.

Doesn't have to have any bearing on what's possible in reality =)

I always thought it meant, he was so fast that the sword never got stained with blood.

That's also often the case. I usually prefer the skill interpretation but speed is fine too.

see the ode to gallentry translation. for an example.
when mrs shi of the black and white swords fought with snow sect members at the temple to save shi potian, she used her sword to seal the accuipoint of her opponents instead of slashing them. a poke rather then a stab. her opponents were immobilized and fell down. because her skill was not perfected yet, she caused a small wound that bleed, if her inner power was higher, she would have been able to seal their accuipoints without injuring them.

Sai Mun Chui Sheut and Yip Goo Sing were also capable of accomplishing this in Gu Long's LUK SIU FUNG.

When Luk Siu Fung saw the corpse of the murdered Ngor Mei Sect disciple Cheung Ying Fung, he initially thought that Cheung's killer was Sai Mun Chui Sheut because of the very small fatal wound at the throat that produced no blood. Luk Siu Fung knew Sai Mun Chui Sheut used such a sword technique. Luk's guess in this case was wrong, however, because Cheung was actually killed by Yip Goo Sing, who could also use that technique.

SMSC makes small wound in the throats of those he kills. his swordplay is know for his precision. he could kill with the minimum force necessary. the bloodless sword is famous for using his sword to seal accuipoints. he was one of the elite fighters of DOMD time. through he died rather miserably. all his wealth robbed by WXB. executed by the guards in place of his enemy.

my mistake, just re-checked the book, Feng was beheaded, but in real life he did not end up like that, instead, was given the title of count by Kangxi.
