Yeah, but still, his leadership qualities are out there. As for his opinions, I'm not sure how it would factor in, but he was just doing what he's paid to do.
I don't see anything wrong with that. Under my law I'd kill traitorous sons of *****es too.He also tried to finish the guy because Jake's loyalty had him picked "the opposing side". Who is he to decide to end the guy's life despite a betrayal, per se? Clearly, he was all out to kill (as long as you're in his way).
I don't think he was talking about the blue skinned freaks so much as he meant the planet as a whole, is hostile. The scars he has on his scalp are clearly from one of the native creatures and not the aliens. The Na'Vis were aggressively nature-loving, nature-respectful people, yet in his words, the tribe was defamed as a terrifying bunch of nightmare (which, to an extend, sounded like a "war-engaging" bunch too, IMO). Even if he isn't psycho, he still projects a sicko (pushy) persona, no less. Does he not cast a shadow of a puppet master?
Conclusion, as admirable as a commando he can be, I'm not keen to be his puppet.
