Default Let's rank Ren Wo Xing

How strong is Ren Wo Xing? Xiang Wentian who is half to a full level below him is already pretty impressive, creating imprints in the floor with his feet while speaking and casually booting around a horse's corpse. He in turn is well above someone like Yue Buqun, who has shown some pretty sophisticated inner strength and being able to transmit it through the air seemingly.

Chongxu who has more or less mastered Taiji sword admittedly is below Ren, while Fang Zheng who mastered Yi Jinjing is seemingly a bit superior to him.

To start off discussion, I'll propose that he is at LOCH Qiu Qianren level.

Of course, it is part of his repetoire.

Before I read your statement and just saw your name and a one liner, I thought it had to be a pun of some sort heh.

I also randomly thought of what an awesome combo XXDF would be with an art like Vacant Fists or Taiji. It is totally against RWX's boisterous style, but someone who knows an energy conserving and defensive art like the above two while slowly draining the opponent's energy until they're weak enough to be disposed of is a killer strategy. Though I suppose you could just refuse to fight him.

Taiji, if it's based on 9Yang theories, always seemed to me to be more of a giver than taker. Zhang Wuji often used 9 Yang to heal others including those who used 7 injury fist. Although, that could just be the way Zhang Wuji used it, he could also have also used it to blow people to bits.

Which is not to say one couldn't use XXDF with Taiji. I'm not disputing that.

chongxu was not admittedly below RWX. RWX did not believe chongu was above him in skills because he wouldn't necessarily win. he was a level or half a level below fang zhang but superior in wits. he was at least a full level below DFBB. he should be capable of fighting for a thousand moves but when his internal strength runs out, his moves will be slow down and he would be killed.

I'm not sure about XAJH, but I always have this impression that what prevents RWX from being No.1 in his time, is because of this awfully disgusting martial arts called Kuihua Baodian.

So where does Ren Woxing rank in SPW? Would this be a somewhat accurate ranking? If not, how would the characters in SPW rank in martial arts?
    1. Dongfang Bubai
    2. Feng Qingyang
    3. Yue Buqun - after mastering Bixie Jianfa
    4. Ren Woxing
    5. Zuo Lengchan
    6. Fangzheng
    7. Linghu Chong
    8. Chongxu

Why on earth is Chongxu below the drunkard? Swordplay wise, Chongxu lost slightly, but in a real fight, Chongxu would mop the floor with him and turn him from yang to yin

If that was the case, Chongxu wouldn't have admitted defeat and allowed LHC+RWX and co to leave Shaolin.

I thought Chongxu refused to fight because he still could not think of how to break the drunkard's surprising positions? His mind was still on those positions, mesmerised if you like

The safety and prosperity of Wulin rests on them winning that duel. I would give Chongxu enough credit that if he thought he had a chance to win, he would have taken it.

Assuming Chongxu is proficient in barehanded combat, he should be able to easily take out Linghu Chong in that regard. Outside of swordplay, even a low level junkie would own Chong'di. It was implied that someone at Ren Yingying's level would totally destroy him in unarmed combat.

Eh? Where did you get that?

LHC seemed to do just fine against the Great Yin-Yang Palm, Yue Hou, who was of a senior generation.

I think PJ might have meant if LHX fought unarmed. Which is unlikely to happen unless you're like Yilin's mother and can stop him from drawing his sword.

That makes more sense. Still, XXDF makes it a very dangerous game for anyone to try and fight him barehanded, unless you have some way of avoiding being drained.

Are you talking about the incident where Chong'ge used his sword to pierce through Yue Hou's hands? If so, sword was used. I'm talking about unarmed combat.

Right, I thought you meant LHC using sword vs someone else using barehanded combat. Himself barehanded vs any real expert barehanded would definitely be something of a clobberfest, with the single caveat that XXDF might help him out.

Eat palm wind. Yang Guo and Huang Yaoshi would throw him (Linghu Chong) around like a beach ball.

Depends on how much internal energy he had after mastering YJJ and merging the streams from XXDF, but in general, I agree that LDA type attacks are LHC's only real weakness.
