    Default more Sweeper Monk acknowledgement

By now, some of Sweeper Monk's otherworldly feats have been well-documented within the forum, such as his KO'ing of Xiao Yuanshan and Murong Bo each in one stance, his invisible force shield, and his lifting of 2 Xuan-generation monks from their knees without any gesture.

However, there are a few subtle feats of Buddha... I mean Sweeper Monk, that are not often cited, and the purpose of this topic is to bring them to light.

Feat: Killing Me Softly With His Enlightenment
When Murong Bo and Xiao Yuanshan were revived, the first thing they did was smile at each other, erasing their grudges forever. Obviously they have been enlightened by Sweeper Monk's wisdom. But it didn't start there; when Murong Bo was first KO'ed, he "died" with a smile on his face! It was as if he was put to a joy sleep. It seems Sweeper Monk's tap also had an enlightenment component that enlightens the opponent as he "dies".

Feat: Walking In Air Without Physical Contact?
    The original text says:

    那老僧道:“是时候了,该当走啦!”右手抓住萧远山尸身的后领,左手抓住慕容博尸身的后领,迈 开大步,竟如凌虚而行一般,走了几步,便跨出了窗子。

    Roughly:
Sweeper Monk said: "It's time to go." He grabbed the back of the necks of Xiao Yuanshan and Murong Bo's corpses, and walked away in big steps. It was as if he walked without physical contact to the ground. After a few steps, he was out of the window.

"Walking" is not the normal means of getting out of a window, especially with 2 corpses in your hands. Sweeper Monk demonstrated some exquisiteness here. The word 跨 was used to describe Sweeper Monk's getting out of the window, which roughly means "step across." On the other hand, Xiao Feng had to leap (跃) out of the window.

What kind of steps do you think Sweeper Monk took that resembled walking on air?

Another fun fact is that Sweeper Monk KO'ed Murong and Xiao by putting them into "turtle breathing" mode. Li Qiushui of Xiaoyao Sect also used this skill in the novel, although it was self-initiated rather than Sweeper Monk's much more impressive externally initiated. Another potential fun link between Sweeper Monk and Xiaoyao Pai.

A lot of people can do Turtle Breathing. It's fairly basic for a high level fighter.

Tong Lao couldn't do it. I don't think it is automatic for high level fighters.

Pretty sure 'Mr Multi Kung-Fu' JMZ did not know it either. Since he was dead scared of water.

My theory is that Sweeper must have done a wuxia style lobotomy with his taps. With his internal energy, he destroyed their frontal lobes so they no longer feel the rage/grudges, that mimicked the effect of englightenment. Sweeper may actually be the world's very first psychiatrist.

Yes: He Who Restores Sick Patients To Healthy Mental State INSTANTANEOUSLY By Delivering Life-Appreciating Intervention With His Mere Hand!

Perhaps His tap killed the "infected" nerves, or reshuffled the chemicals in the brain to a healthy balance. In any case, it was definitely healthcare at its finest (albeit most intrusive).

He actually hid a syringe in his hand. When he tapped them, he injected them with resocialising nano-machines used to put violent criminals into line.

I think it's because she was so angry that she couldn't control her breathing that well.

Linghu Chung, when he was pretty much a schmuck compared to these elites, was using turtle breathing on Shaolin as he eavesdropped on RWX, XWT & RYY vs the rest of Wulin.

ZWJ used it plenty of times. One occasion he nearly failed because he had ZM in his arms inside a big drum and thus was popping some serious wood.

There's a difference in stopping breathing and stopping HEARTBEAT.

Sweeper Monk stopped both their breathing AND heartbeat.

Actually, it's possible that Turtle Breathing, where one stops his own breathing, also stops his heartbeat. But I am not sure.

Possible, but I seriously doubt that. It was said that LHC, TSTL etc all did their best to hold their breath. I can't really imagine the person stopping their heartbeat.
