Beyond is about two girls who work in the jewelry and clothing department of the imperial palace and how they strive to work on their art and after wards their rise to power.

I must confess i found beyond quite boring and only watched it because of Michelle Yim.

Liu Shi Shi and Janine Zhang i can't tell apart from the pictures, what is it about? who is Huang Dao Po? does she have a love story with some noble man?

I must confess, at first I had so much trouble telling Liu Shi Shi and Janine Zhang apart.

Have to agree that they look VERY alike in this series.

Also, at first glance at the series pics, I thought Janine was Zhang Jingchu. They look very similar as well.

That may not be the case though They may not want to spoil it by releasing too many pictures of Yuan Hong and Janine Chang.....

Come to think about it, they didn't release many pictures of the other casts and their stories much either.... I've come across LSS and YH the most, but it doesn't mean they have more screen time than others...

Another villian role? Smells like another Yan Kuan! He Jian Ze was very good as the gentle Prince Tian in the latest Journey to the West [not the ZZJ version]. He was the love interest of Bai Gu Jing played by Han Xue, it was quite a touching story.

i thought in that version bai gu jing has some kind of past life love interest with the monkey (sun wu kong)
