A college roommate of mine once said, "Any guy whose name isn't pronounced the way it's spelled needs to be tied to a chair and slapped around for a good five minutes."

How do you pronounce the last name of Alec Douglas-Home?

It should sound like "Hoof" (replace w in woof with h) + "ste (as in step)" + "dad". So, Hoof-ste-dad. Hope this way is easier for you to grasp the pronouciation.

Comically, if you pronouce it in a whizz, it should sound like "Who's dad?"

What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?
