That name is being used by the author Lian Hearn who wrote Across the Nightingale Floor. I remember looking somewhere on her website and it said that Lian Hearn is her pen name.

I'm just not sure that it would be good to use the same first name.

    Ying Ying,

The names all have the given chinese characters but I'm afraid that the cut and past option doesn't work.

It's not as hard as you (or anyone else) think or make it out to be. Name-generators are good but they can only go so far. Sometimes, the names generated can have a rather "alien" feel to it, as the generator works on a specific algorithm that limits its choices according to set boundaries.

Tell me, what personal (character) qualities would you like your name to embody? I'll find you a decent last name and a single- or two-character first name with your initial and desired qualities.

PS: I give Chinese names to all my non-Chinese students, and after I explained to them why I chose the names and what the names meant, no one has complained.

BTW: Do you have a middle initial? What is it, if any? It might go with a quality that you have chosen. Which initial is your maiden last name and which one is your married one? Which one would you prefer to use?
