因为同是穿越戏，《步步惊心》与《宫》的比较成了昨天发布会的重点，其实早在两年前，蔡艺侬所在的唐人电影 就已经买下了《步步惊心》的版权，而于正的《宫》就是在那时开始筹划拍摄的。关于《宫》是否有翻拍抄袭之嫌 以及之前盛传她与于正不和，蔡艺侬表示自己不想表态：“我没看过《宫》，粉丝、书迷为《步步惊心》鸣不平， 我也没必要站出来说，人不犯我我不犯人，他（于正）在网上多次诋毁，我已经保留证据，适当的时候也会采取法 律手段解决。”另外，她还表示，《步步惊心》的故事，最后与书中不太一样，“除了延续在清代若曦抑郁离开的 戏份之外，我们还想给粉丝一个希望——也许，会拍成若曦回到了现代，继续现代生活的版本。”

yeah, she's saying that the ending of the tv series is going to be slightly different than the novel's ending. she said she wants to give fans a hope that they MIGHT film ruoxi going back to modern times and what her lifes like as an alternate ending.

I hope not. The ending is what made the story. It'll really detract from it and it'll be a little like Gong imo.

There will be a longer trailer next month because they are still filming and a lot of important scenes are unable to make it to this first trailer. Here's to hope the next one is at least 30 min.

Which scene? Or all of them? lol. So far it seems pretty accurate to the novel. There are a few scenes that are added but that is to be expected and I think they fit quite well.

From what I read in the book, I didn't think 13th would have that much screentime. YH's in this series just to cook tang yuan with LSS . But I did read they are buffering up 13th's character and screentime.

LOL i love how in the first press conference video, in the beginning when the 3 of them are coming are stage or whatever, LSS looks like she's trying SO HARD not to burst out laughing! lmao.
and then when the host asks nicky if they have a lot of "qin re" (romantic, hot?) scenes he's like, nah. but there are a lot of bed scenes. LOL
and then in the second press conference vid with the interviews, i got so annoyed cause the reporters kept asking them to compare it to gong! i'm just like, get off that topic already! ask about THIS drama. god. lol

but anyway. after watching the trailer: WOW! it looks so good! haha i did not expect it to turn out so well.
1. LSS's acting has improved TONS. she looks really good as ruo xi! and i'm so happy, cause at first i was worried if she could carry such a heavy lead role but she looks great in the trailer!
2. i dont care what you guys think, i am REALLY impressed with nicky. i think i'm definitely gonna be a 4th fan (especially in that scene towards the end where he's screaming that ruo xi can't die without his permission - so heartbreaking!)
3. i'm not so impressed with the (few short) scenes i saw of lin gengxin, though. he still looks kinda wooden and raw. oh well, hopefully he'll get better.
4. the car crash in the beginning: WHOA! lol i was NOT expecting that. it looked intense. question: does she get into the accident cause she was fighting with her bf/ma tianyu??
5. and finally. it looks really good ! (i said that already. lol ) and i dont wanna compare or anything, but i'm just sayin: it looks like it's gonna be 10000000000 times better than Gong. lol
6. oh, and i like the guy that plays the king! you cant really tell from the pictures, but he had a great "kingly" aura to him. lol.
7. one last thing: YH/LSS friendship! haha it was so cute

Yah Lin Gengxin looks to be "green". I felt that not only in the trailer but especially in the press conference. YH did most of the talking and Lin looks so shy and unsure of himself (it was really cute! ). I think all he needs is more experience and Bu Bu will definitely provide that. I am looking forward to see how he will evolve.

The trailer looks amazing. Everyone's acting looks awesome good and pretty much everyone looks better in motion than in the photos. The whole atmosphere is really intense (and I feel like it has almost nothing in common with Gong). I think Damien Lau is a perfect choice for Kangxi, btw.

If there's a chance she gets back to the future, can she reunite with Ma Tianyu? LOL.

There are 2 version of the novel. The original and an revised edition. The first one Ruoxi travels through time because she got electrocuted when changing her light bulb and she fell off her ladder. The second one, Ruoxi dies from a car crash. By the look of things the drama is mixing both together. XD Talk about a double whammy.
