I'm also kinda iffy on BBJX2 because you know how sequels usually go... But if their scriptwriter is the original author, then by all means! Plus, I think the story would have lost its excitement if they changed it to modern day because the time travel element, the thing that piqued my interest (at least for me), would be lost.

Kevin and Nicky already accepted participation in BBJX2. YH is in talks about BBJX but has not confirmed anything. Will it be a period drama? He said it's probably going to be set in modern, the relationships amongst the characters will be refreshed, bcos they all died in the first drama anyway.

To be very honest, I'm not that keen on BBJX2...having the princes back to modern day should be the stuff of fan-fic. I'd prefer BBJX the way it is

I'm curious about the idea of BBJX2 and it'd be interesting to see how the writers would script it but I've such a bad feeling that it'd be like HZGG3 - merely a method to capitalise on a drama's popularity via a sequel, in the process loosing its magic. Hopefully talented actors like Nicky and Kevin would be able to turn it around, but if the script's bad... *shrugs*

Also, is this BBJX2 still going to be a horrid theatre production as opposed to television drama?

I could be wrong, but I'm getting the feeling that the theatre thing is just an adaptation of BBJX and the sequel will be an actual sequel? I've said this before, but I know I'll definitely be looking forward to a sequel because of the cast, if not anything else. I would watch it no matter how bad the script could be, though a good script would always be an added bonus.

Yeah... I'm not inclined to see Hu Ge here either. I prefer him as the singer of 'One Persistent Thought' and its modern equivalent... but not as a player. Somehow I'm egoistically clinging to my Qing era BBJX now, and refuse to accept any BBJX 2 that is set in Qing Era as well (paraphrasing YH: what's the point?). I refrain from having an opinion about the modern BBJX 2 tho, until we can read the script or until further confirming news.
