From the (very quiet) Nicky thread, I was directed by Teresalen to Nicky's sina blog. Apparently, he wrote a lovely poem about Yongzheng, titled 'Yongzheng, I understand you. I am you' (thanks Teresa!).

I use Gtranslator, so I won't post the silly translation here (can someone do a correct and poetic translation for his poem?). But I can see how poetic Nicky is...

One who is thought by others as cold and ruthless, a cruel ruler
An emperor who’s thoughts/ideas are secret/kept to himself,
who can truly understand his lonely heart
why/how did he become this way
could it be that he has no feelings?
why did he do things this way?
could it be that he doesn’t have any choices?
When I truly/really stepped into/became this character/role,
When I truly/really lived in the palace/forbidden city,
I understood
The cruelty /ruthlessnesshe dealt upon others could not compare to the cruelty he dealt upon himself.
Cruel enough to let oneself lose the feeling of love/ability to love
cruel enough to forget the most precious/valuable smile
cruel enough to put down/neglect that oneself(he, himself) is made of blood and flesh.
Will not have/be hurt , and only left with loniless

OT: And thanks for the Paris translation too at your tumblr. G translator helps, but the subtleties are of course not there.

OT: Say... in Paris, Nicky can't only speak Chinese, right? So at least he has to speak English, what with Dior (and is that Louis Vuitton) event(s). So he should master quite a bit of English, no? (arrrrgghhh!!! Will I EVER hear him speaking quite a few long sentences of English???)

I think he must speak SOME english :\ I can't really find any video clips of him speaking it but his alot of his songs are filled with english phrases like "i love you" , "you are the only one for me" , "ok" etc.

i would die if i ever heard him speak in english flkshlfksd. XD
