Default For a supposedly "inarticulate" guy, Gwok Jing sure gave great speeches.

In terms of martial arts, although Jin Yong often characterized the young Gwok Jing as hopelessly slow and lacking in readily recognizable talent, Gwok Jing nevertheless became one of the Greats and by far the best fighter of his own generation.

Similarly, although Gwok Jing is also characterized by Jin Yong as being dull-witted, inarticulate, and often tongue-tied, Gwok Jing ironically gave some of the most stirring speeches by Jin Yong's protagonists. The manner in which Gwok Jing told off Genghis Khan at the end of LOCH and his similarly-themed speech to Kublai Khan in ROCH were among the most memorable and compelling words ever uttered by a wuxia protagonist.

The comparison has been drawn before:

    GJ is like Naruto.

GJ is not a total retard (can't stress this point enough), but he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Yet, much like Naruto, GJ has the ability to inspire and has the capacity to say the most amazing and memorable things.
