Everyone looks awesome! The whole drama costed 60 million yuan to make so hopefully it won't disappoint.
And trailer was okay. I'm counting on a better one releasing later on.

The costumes are gorgeous! (The pregnancy dress is especially striking to me for some reason, haha...I don't think I've seen such a lovely maternity wear before. ) And the actress for young WZT is quite beautiful. Is this going to be historically accurate? (Because I'm really not expecting much accuracy from YZ's adaptation of WZT.) "Da Ming Gong Ci" remains my "definitive" idea of the WZT story (although that was so long ago my memory is rather hazy) so it'll be neat to see how this compares. I'm not really a fan of Gillian though...but I guess I should give her a chance since I don't think I've actually seen her acting yet.

(I heard YM was originally supposed to be playing Princess Taiping here but couldn't make room in her schedule...not sure if that was just a rumour, but I actually would've preferred her in this series, even as a supporting role, rather than the two modern idol-type dramas she worked on in the first half of this year...even though I am looking forward to parts of those.)

Have you seen the trailer mango? It's like an Yu Zheng carbon copy!! YET another Wu Zetian series that focus on love affairs, scandals etc instead of her political rule, wisdom and strength. Sigh! But I wonder since this is a Hunan TV drama, do you think YZ can get his Mei Ren Tian Xia (which may be seen as a rival) aired on Hunan TV? Hmmm....

The series is airing next month but I'm confused on the dates though. Some news states Nov 15th while other states Nov 20th?
I really hope this series is worth all hype. So far I see nothing but scandals through the whole drama.
