Wow! What a nice trailer! And i like the colour range, it is all very comfortable on the eyes. Quite a thought provoking monologue. And nice CGI monkey as well. Looking forward to this.

Ahh, now I'm torned ! Several scenes looked exactly like how I imagined when I read the novel . They even created the monkey , while I thought they were going to omit it. But then, I'm still affraid that they will disappoint me on the ladies' stories ..

Oh well, I guess I could put my attention on Chinese Paladin and Ode to Gallantry, until I'm sure that this adaptation is 'save' for me

I just realised this is based on the novel I am currently reading.

Hopefully they don't change too much. I really liked the main girl, the pretty cold one. I like her XLN aura and her mature personality. I liked how both the leads meet years later and they couldn't bare to fight each other ir see each other get hurt. I'm a bit confused at the romance line since he supposedly loves his martial arts sister then suddenly loves the evil sect girl after she sacrifice for him but then I always get the feeling he has a thing for the XLN wanna be and everytime they meet after there was soo much emotion but then he was still hung up on the evil girl.

I also love the story and confuse at the same time , with the same reason as yours. I just think that the writer didnt make a smooth transition of Zhang Xiao Fan's change of heart.

In my personal opinion, I think that (-- edited, I managed to use spoiler tags) :

1. His first love is his martial sister
2. He met Biyao and Xiao Que and got attracted to them, but his martial sister was still no 1.
3. He got attracted more to Xue Qi (when they fell into the deep abyss). But then they got separated and he got close to Biyao. He began to sympathize more to her especially he was sick and after listening to the story of her mom's death.
4. His martial sister was still the one, but he was wavering because of the 2 new girls.
5. He was disappointed deeply by the righteous sects . Xue Qi tried to protect him, but Biyao sacrificed her life for him. His fondness for her, as well as guilt, got over him and made him think that Biyao was the one. His martial sister had done nothing, so I guess his feeling for her mostly had gone with that shocking experience which changed his life.
6. After years, I believe that Xue Qi has always been special for him, but he has been denying his own feeling because of Biyao.

That's my interpretation toward the love relationship , dunno whether it's correct or not. Sometimes I feel that ZXF is almost similar with ZWJ of Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre. He liked more girls at a time and was confused with his own feelings.

I like Xue Qi too (XLN wannabe..hahaha). I think she is a more mature and experienced type than XLN, and wiser. I also like how she and ZXF quietly care about each other and protect each other, although basically they are enemies. I really want to read the whole novel, but I can only read the translation which is still ongoing.

I just started reading the English translated novel of this series, and I can totally understand why fans are excited and can't wait for the series to broadcast. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story will unravel, as I'm only in the beginning of the novel.

I've only recently found a website that translates the novel into English. In my honest opinion, it is not the best, but it is the only one out there that I know of. I believe the translator(s) stopped translating, but was picked up by another (will have to search for it).

The more it looked interesting, then the more it worries me *LOL* . I guess I'm traumatized by Swordsman and ROCH2014, which both are my favourite novels and which had made me so excited about.

I think the song suits for the beginning parts of the story, but doesn't it feel too cheerful for the rest of it ? Or are they going to make another OST for the 2nd part of the story?? Coz Zhang Xiao Fan is not that carefree, although he is honest and firm.

Anyway, I guess they prolong the teenage part and add more adventure and interactions between the characters, but I don't mind that. It reminds me of old wuxias, where they added more stories and made it more happy and dynamic. I'm okay with that as long as the overall is still faithful to the original

And, I agree that it looked like the purest Wuxia series we've seen in years. The scenes looked 'natural' without too many CGIs (although it should have many special effects, since the story involves mystical beings, while the art of fightings are fantasy-like). It also hinted many adventures and interesting characters and stories, with nice simple costumes and not too fantasy-like. Honestly, I miss that kind of series . All of the recent wuxia/xanxia series felt too modern.

Well.. from the clip itself, I could see many additional stories . Anyway,I think I'll watch it because :
- I like the novel
- Even if the story sucks, I like LYF in traditional series (yes, I'll watch this for the eye candy..shallow me ). And I like XLN wannabe *lol*.

I hope the release date is earlier since I'm on a holiday now . Oh well..let's wait!
