Is it possible he's taking the best steroids of the time, both real world in terms of body/muscle development and wuxia-world type steroids such as to enlarge meridians and such ? If he is, could he perhaps have been a nutrition coach for say Hong Qigong and made him a tier above the rest?

I don't think he's roided up, but imagine if he dedicated his life solely to martial arts instead of studying literature, math, music, astronomy, etc. Would he still be even with the Greats or go up another tier?

This is one of the reasons why I believe HYS is actually the best amongst the Greats. If people like Lingzhi Shang Ren could know about using snake blood to boost powers, surely the great HYS could concoct better potions. He doesn't seem like the kind of idiot who will overdose as well, meaning that his knowledge of medicine and herbs should serve him very well.

I truly believe that at the end of ROCH, he was the best Great.
