Though the 6 Mak Divine Swords was one of the most powerful martial arts in wulin during the era of DGSD, the skill never reappears in later stories such as the CONDOR HEROES TRILOGY or SMILING PROUD WANDERER, though members and associates of the Deun Royal Family of Dali appear in these stories and can still perform 1 Yeung Finger Technique.

So what do you think happened? Although the textual scrolls for the 6 Mak Divine Swords were destroyed during DGSD by the monks at Heavenly Dragon Temple, Deun Yu still knew the complete skill. How did it fail to get transmitted to at least South Emperor Deun Chi Hing's generation? Furthermore, as the best practitioners of 1 Yeung Finger Technique during the CONDOR HEROES TRILOGY era, could Deun Chi Hing/1 Deng or Central Divinity Wong Chung Yeung have mastered 6 Mak Divine Swords if the technique had been available to them?

My guess is that DY made a copy and returned it to the monastery. Remember the art was not normally available to laymen, even the Royal family only heard about it. It is likely that DY kept to tradition and refrained from teaching any of his children it as well.

It's likely it survived. 6mds was considered equal to yiyingji. If yiyingji survived, 6mds should too. Yideng should not have learnt it when he was still a king. After he became a monk, he would have learnt it as the main feature of 6mds is inner power usage and yideng had the top inner power. But as a mini, he would not have used it as its too powerful and kills easily.
