All night long, the search had ceaselessly been carrying on. The Master of Sword Lake, Master Cheung, held this incident as an insult to his fame. He had hoped to further good relationship with the Dragon Sect from this wedding. Now, not only he had lost face among friends in the martial world, he also had some explaining to do to the Lord of Dragon Sect.

Strangely enough, though some minor disciples of the sect had come to witness the wedding, they did not once mention of their mentor's blessing or brought any gift from him.

Moreover, as soon as those people had learned of the kidnapping of Li Yu Mei, they betrayed no signs of concern of their sister's safety. After a few hours of fruitless search, they had come to bid Master Cheung farewell. Therefore, all the head of Cheung House could do was to send an apology letter with them along with a promise to retrieve Mistress Li as quick as possible.

Fong Zheng, on the other hand, was filled with worried about his two young disciples. He could understand that Lau Hong had disappeared, considering his younger student's temperament. However, Cheng Yuen Jin was another matter. This oldest disciple of his was a reliable and punctual person. It would only mean that Yuen Jin met with some unfortunate accident to delay him like this. At last, unable to withhold the anxiety any longer, he approached Master Cheung.

"Cheung Sir, I hate to disturb you in the time of distress. But I would like to require for your help. My two young disciples, Cheng Yuen Jin and Lau Hong had disappeared too. I just wonder if anyone of your household came across any students of mine?"

Master Cheung came out of his deep thought and replied politely, "Sure, sure. I'll ask my housekeeper Fok. Hmm, it seems everyone is disappearing today." He smiled wryly.

Relief, Fong Zheng rejoined the searching group and continued with the quest for the lost bride.

Goofy: I don't need to blame myself...I just needed someone to explain what's happening with the people at the house so that I can write about the other characters.

With all the commotions and unexpected outcome of events, all plans were set back. Ah Yee had planned to search Li Yu Mei's room but news of the kidnapped bride had meant that the room was searched for clues as to the identity of the kidnapper but after two servants looked around they still haven't spotted anything. Then Mistress Li's handmaid and sworn sister had also disappeared undetected and mysteriously.

While everyone in the Sword Lake Manor was out searching for the kidnapped bride, Ah Yee stayed in her room worried about her own mistress's safety. 'Maybe I could search the secret chamber again?' thought Ah Yee as she paced around the table.

A dart carrying a message flew in with great speed and pinned itself to the wall.

'Oh, no! Master must want us to return but Mistress is still missing,"thought Ah Yee as she approached the dart. She reluctantly remove the letter from the dart and slowly opened the letter. The letter as expected was from their master.

"The time I've given you two has ended. Have you two found what I've sent you to find? I'm warning you to if you have failed to find the manual by this time, don't expect to return to me empty handed. Neither do I want to see you two anymore until you've retrieve what I asked."

'Great...how am I going to get the mission done without mistress?' Tired, Ah Yee flopped down onto the bed and felt her hand touching something. It was the journal that her and mistress had stolen out of the secret chamber a couple of days ago. She decided to stuff the journal in her shirt for safe keeping and search the secret room late in the night.

Soon, it was midnight and everyone in the manor had went to sleep except for the patroling guards, who was immediately frozen as Ah Yee came and tapped them from behind. At the same time, Tian Bo had taken a peak outside and knew it was very late now. He walked over to the unconcious Ah Lan and tried to awaken her yet no response. So he wrapped her arms around his neck and carried her over to the entrance and out the secret room.

Ah Yee was in time to witness her mistress being carried away by the tall scared faced man and decided she would not confront the man until he had safely carried her mistress out of the Cheung Manor.

When Tian Bo reached twenty miles out from Sword Lake Sect's premises, he stopped abruptedly and turned around to face Ah Yee.

"Why are you following me?" demanded Tian Bo.

"The woman you are now holding in your arms is my mistress. I've been looking for her everywhere."

As Ah Yee looked closely at her mistress's face and saw that her face has lost all color except for her purple lips. Alarmed, Ah Yee rashly yelled out,"What have you done to my mistress? Unhand her now!"

Ah Yee and Tian Bo engaged into a fight and one would think that Tian Bo would lose to Ah Yee because his hands was preoccupied with Ah Lan in his arms. However, using his legs to fight Ah Yee proved his kung fu has reached a higher level.

Realizing that the man in front was indeed a high-skilled fighter, but also wanting to rescue Ah Lan, Ah Yee decided to attack this unknown man with full power and high speed to finish the battle quickly. She took out a dagger and started with nine stances of ‘Raindrops, Rainbow Bridge’. She then followed with fourteen moves of ‘Butterflies flitting’. Although the moves were graceful and looked weak, each stance was full of power and deadly – using together to aim for the opponent’s life.

Tian Bo had never seen such beautiful kungfu stances like these before. Each stroke, each step was so elegant that compelled him to stand still in fascination and receive the blows instead of fending for himself. ‘Quack’, the first strike from Ah Yee tore a piece of his trousers. At the same time, he felt blood was oozing out of a wound on his left leg. The pain snapped him back to reality. As quick as lightning, he shifted the body of Ah Lan to his left side, while sweeping his right foot out in ‘Dragon Tail’ stance to counteract Ah Yee’s next strike.

Ah Yee shifted her dagger in time to his left-injured leg, but again found his right leg was in front of her dagger, kicking the weapon out of her hand. Numbed at her right hand, she was much frustrated. So, she took out another dagger from her pouch with her left hand and leaped at her opponent again. As she feigned an attack to his left thigh to get his right foot to come up in defend, she reached in her inner shirt for poison needles with her injured right hand at the same time and threw handful of her needles at him.

Tian Bo felt a swish of flying needles toward him but could not escape in time without having to injure Ah Lan too. So he just put down his right leg and twisted his body to the left, letting his right side be a target for coming needles.
