Gao Yuan Yuan (高圆圆)

This is a classic case of "nan cai nu mao". Well, 00 has both cai and mao, but that's beside the point. I wonder what attracts her most to Zhang Ya Dong and when she started to like him? In any case, I find it totally cool that she was the one who approached and came on to him first. Now that's a woman who knows what she wants and has the means to achieve it.

judging frm the pics, 00 is not one who goes for looks and appearances. maybe his style of work and music attracted her to him cause she didnt know him well @ 1st so dun think it was his personality which aroused her interest. anyway, its not surprising tat he didnt like reject her...bet he was flattered tat such a pretty babe took interest in him. bt thn again, he's real famous and possibly wealthy so there maybe lotsa gers after him, especially aspiring singers since he's like a famous music producer. oh yeah, i read tat he wont get any chance to help gyy release an album cause she cant sing.

I was thinking it was probably his talents and abilities as well. But, of all the influential people in the music industry, why him? I'm not knocking her choice by any means, but am just curious.

It's a shame 00 can't sing. It would be cool if she sang a theme song to one of her series. Is it that she just can't carry a tune to save her life or that she just doesn't like to sing and is therefore not good at it?

i read somewhere tat she doesnt like to and cannot sing. the cast for her new series tian xia di yi were asked to come together n sing a theme for the series. but gyy and another cast, tammy chen refused to participate, afraid tat their voices would spoil the song.

well at least im glad gyy only does wad she's gd in and feels comfortable with..like acting and modelling. she doesnt like force herself to take up singing juz to make some bucks or increase her popularity. u know how some actresses juz wanna act and sing at the same time when they cannot do it properly and in the end, only earn criticism.

It seems like the repeat characters in names are very popular with a group of actresses who're around the same age: Gao Yuan Yuan, Fan Bing Bing, Li Bing Bing, Chen Sha Sha, to name a few, so it could have just been a naming trend. Or, maybe her eyes were (and still are) big and round and thus, Yuan Yuan.

yuanyuan's eyes are big but they arent very round. alyssa's eyes are big and round. 00 has more curved shaped eyes..kinda like large almond shaped eyes which are very pretty and attractive.

ive been watching miracle healers which is a VERY boring show. the plot's draggy and the jokes are pretty lame. i dun like 00's character but who will when she's put next to alyssa's character which is made so much more adorable, smart, kind, understanding and stuff...its like the director's trying to make alyssa n gyy's characters total opposites of each other...alyssa's meant to b loved and gyy's meant to b disliked....its pretty obvious tat looks aside, zwz should fall for alyssa instead of gyy.

the only positive thing would b alyssa's chemistry w zwz and gyy's with lu ching. there's also no denial that 00 is really beautiful in here...her costumes are fanciful but i dun really like her hairstyle. however, i think the make up artist did a great job...her make up makes her look gorgeous in here. the settings n actors r rather similar to qwlsm but i like the latter tons better!

yeah both of them are real pretty but in different ways, alyssa has the adorable, cheerful look whereas 00 looks more matured and sophisticated and both can act well..i especially like them in together in qwlsm when they arent love rivals...real funny and cute..

i think 00 does the cold and emotionless stare very well in most series ive seen her in..u get this icy feeling when u see her eyes. tats y i think she'll do well as xiao long nu 1 day...

Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately, I doubt they'll be making another ROCH for at least another 5+ years and by that time, she'd be too old (or at least pushing it in the age department) for the role.

Does GYY have any siblings or is she an only child?

Exactly what I thought too. I couldn't finish the series mainly because of the boring plots/story and lame'-*** cheesy jokes. Tried as I might (just because of Gao Yuan Yuan) but just couldn't continue watching it. Which is why I didn't immediately get QWLSM when it first came out late last year...wasn't sure if it was gonna be like another Miracle Healer... But thanks to some of your opinions (like those of Lady Zhuge's and Sunnysnow's), I bought it and started watching it today and you're right, QWLSM is fast paced and enjoyable! Hope it doesn't disappoint later though.
