His flute is made of jade, I think. After all, one of his sword techniques is called Jade Flute technique.

East Heretic Wong Yerk See's first flute was indeed made of jade, but this flute was broken some time during LOCH (I forgot under what circumstances). After losing the jade flute, Wong Yerk See replaced it with an iron one, which he also used during ROCH.

wat were wong yerk shi's martial arts? all he uses is the flute?

His three most well-known are the Tan Zhi Shen Tong (Divine Flicking Fingers), Luoying Shen Jian Zhang (Luoying Divine Sword Palm, renamed in the new edition to Tao Hua Luoying Zhang, or Peach Blossom Luoying Palm), and the already-mentioned Jade Flute swordplay.

Very effective method of inner energy expression. He fought against OYF in peach blossom island in a competition of inner power using musical instruments.

Depends on how you define aggressive. Its was both subtle and controlled enough to elicit lust in ZBT and; powerful enough to cause the young GJ and Au Yeung Hak plenty of trouble.

XX's Lion roar while powerful was probably does not have the degree of sophistication and control achieved by HYS. Showing the marked difference between the two persons' ability to manipulate their inner power.

Xie Xun's roar was very hard (gang), whereas HYS's fluting was soft (ruo). So if you mean aggressive in that way, then yes, Xie Xun was more aggressive, in the same way that XL18Z is much more aggressive than, say, Left Right technique.

At this time, before he had learned 9YZJ, he WAS somewhat inferior to the other 4 Greats; HYS played a song on Peach Blossom Island he newly designed, which basically was a love/sexual melody that affected ZBT, since he himself was not a version. GJ, however, at the time was, and basically disrupted the song.
