Ruby Lin Alec Su Presented CCTV-6 9th International Shanghai Film Festival's Media Awards

The 9th International Shanghai Film Festival's CCTV-6 Media Awards were presented yesterday. Mainland Made Movies <Barber> and <Tian Gou> respectively won Best Visual/Sound Effect Award and Best Script Award, and French Movie <Lady's Fragrance> won Search Spirit Award.

China's Central Television vice director Jia Qi and Shanghai Cultural Media Corp Vice CEO Lin Luo Hua spoke during the award ceremony. Famous television megastars Alec Su and Ruby Lin were invited as as special guests to present the awards. Chen Yi Fei's brother and Song Mei Ying received the award for <Barder>


In order encourage more journalists' interaction, Shanghai Film Festival's Board collaborated with CCTV to designate "CCTV-6 9th International Shanghai Film Festival's Media Awards", allowing vast Media-related and the Festival's Media reporters to cast their vote for their favorite films.

Yesterday, Media Award and Asia's Newest Star Award were presented beforehand. These two awards consisted more entertainment value, especially Media Award, for reporters and journalists voted for their favorite films. At last, LI Fa Shi won Best Visual/Sound Award, Tian Gou won Best Script Award, and French Movie Lady's Fragrance won Best Search Spirit Award.

Alec Su and Ruby Lin Grab Attention
Alec Su and Ruby Lin are a lengendary "rumored couple." Both's common attendance automatically instigated the Media's pursuit, and both indeed Grabbed copious attention at the Media Award. Ruby Lin and Alec Su's rumors rose from Huan Zhu Ge Ge. Althought Ruby Lin has Stanley Tong, both still maintained close relations. Recently, Alec Su's play debuted in Shanghai; Ruby Lin especially invited Liu Tao to watch the show. Later that night, both met to eat and left holding hands openly.

I blame the writers for the messed up storyline. The show would have been great had they somehow got Ruby and Shi Yi Nan (guy with ponytail) get together and make Ruby realize that Shi Yi Nan is her real prince and not the korean dude. I would have bought the series in a heartbeat, but I passed on it instead opting to rent and not waste my precious storage space at home. holy cow, the girl who ended up with Shi Yi Nan is so annoying, yucky. I forwarded her parts. And it's so unconvincing that he liked her. It looked so forced. Even at the end you can still sense that he loved Ruby's character and he was with the other girl only out of gratification for her taking care of him. I mean, what the heck, the girl's selfish, had Ruby known he was hurt, she would have rushed to him immediately.

also why do they need to dub their voices? I mean, first it's a modern series and Ruby's mandarin and Shi Yi Nan's mandarin are very good and I enjoy their original voices. The dubbing just got me more aggravated as well.

Just watched half of "Paris Sonata", and I gotta tell ya, that lead actor just throws off everything. Ren Chuang, I believe is name. This is the first time I'm seeing his work, and sorry to any of his fans, but he is one boring, average actor, at least in this particular series he is. He just had no chemistry whatsoever with Ruby. He was bascially an eye sore in every single possible aspect. Sure hope he can redeem himself in another show. I found myself so disinterested whenever he appears.

On the bright side of the show, Ruby was allowed her original voice in the series, thank god, I'm so tired of hearing her voice being dubbed over when her mandarin is very good. And Liu Xue Hua, what a please to see her in another series. She's one of those veteran actress who brings so much more substance to her role and show.

no, i believe that was about amor de tarapaca. but just to throw in my two cents, i liked yiqiao and yanzu together! that guy shi yinan played was so moody and didn't deserve yiqiao as much as yanzu did.

ruby's mandarin is a little off (but that's natural for all taiwanese actors/actresses, because of where they are from) but i hate watching dubbed things because the voice never moves exactly with the lips.

And the whole point of having a Paris scene combined with musicians was to convey a sense or feeling of romance, but with the 2 young leading actors, um, the mood was lacking. I was surprised to see Paris Sonata being released because for one thing I didn't even know she filmed this series and second, I always thought her next series coming out would be Dali Princess. Can't wait to see that show.

i don't even think it's out in rental stores..too bad..hehe it takes forever over in in New york.... sometimes the vietnamese dont' even translate it.........these days it's most korean series that they dub....kekeke.......the korean invasion gets kinda down for me bc their series seems too be too much of the same thing...
