Default Did Cheung 3 Fung and Gwok Seung meet up in their adult years?

Did the adult Cheung 3 Fung and Gwok Seung meet up again in the years after their encounter at the Shaolin Temple? Although they never established a romantic relationship, they were nevertheless friends, and as the founders of the Mo Dong Sect and Ngor Mei Sect respectively, one would expect that during those years they would at least encounter each other at a Heroes' Conference or some joint action against enemies. The encounter at Shaolin couldn't have been the final encounter of their lives.

They probably did, I don't think they just snobbed each other without even attending each others opening of their martial arts school.

I suppose they met again after Shaolin. Z3F ordered every disciples of Wu Dang to treat the people in Er Mei very well. This reflects some closed relationship between him and GX. It should not be because of Shaolin event alone.

I don't think they ever met again. They probably heard news of each other, but Guo Xiang and Zhang Sanfeng's life is pretty much a mystery after that.

I just get the feeling that they never met again. After Z3F came out of seclusion GX might have been pretty old. And after coming out of seclusion he would be busy setting up Wudang etc etc.

I get the feeling that after setting up Emei and not finding YG ever again, GX became really withdrawn too.

What I don't get is ... if Z3F liked GX .. then wouldn't he go after her instead of not seeing her again and becoming a taoist?

Her heart wasn't there for him. She only loves YG. The cycle of heartbreak never ends.

How long (in years) was Z3F's living in seclusion before he came out again?

The book says he practiced in the cave for 10 years and spent 7 days pondering the meaning of the tao. He porbably started accepting student a bit after that.

HSDS begins 50 years after the fall of Song dynasty.

he was practicing the 50% of 9yangshengong and to gain deeper insight into martial arts and the meaning of life.

Being a hermit would be a complete waste of time in modern days.

Not if shengongs were real and not something made up by writers...

I'll take 10 years of my life for 9YSG, if it were real.

If that's going to give us all the jobs and money we need, I don't mind either.

hsds started 3 years after roch...then another 50 odd years later by the 3rd or 4th chapter...

lets consider...7 days to ponder the tao(dao) to become yi dai zong shi...when others spend entire lifetimes and cannot fathom as deep as he has...:P
