I do not know if its good. its classic but watching it in 2004 might make you feel that the show is too slow-moving. The theme song is classic, I think.

This series is like fine aged wine. You must drink it slowly...sip by sip, letting the taste wash through your mouth rather than gulping it down. Yes, the pace was a hundred times slower in the 1970s than it is today, but because of that, a certain lost craftsmanship that you don't find anymore comes through. What was good then is still good now, although you will need to adjust to it. Maintain an open mind and try to appreciate it: you'll be well rewarded.

The 70's Lu Xiaofeng series with Adam Cheng also has the upside of being extremely accurate with the first novel, very very rare that a GL novel is followed this closely. Two thumbs up!

The acting was very good and can't be compared with the other Lu Xiao Feng series. It's also accurate to the novel. You might be frustrated by the slowness of the fights though.

I really liked the fights: PURE martial arts choreography with 0% wirefu and CGI nonsense. It was all about the moves. Fabulous.
