I was sure more than 5 people expressed interest in it. Probably missed it buried between those posts in the NBA Discussion Thread.

Basketball is the second most exciting indoor sport, and the other one shouldn't have spectators.
Well Spooks, I've joined your league and set my draft as "Auto". Black Dragons II is my team. Looking forward to it.
I noticed only 8 players so far. Come on guys let's get at least 20...
PLEASE NOTE - I'll trade anyone of my players away for Shaq if I don't get him in the draft...
Also if I happen to be unlucky enough to pick up Kobe Bryant - I'll trade him for any old SCRUB... including Tyrone Lue...

Hey Spooks, I don't have time, but prehaps the other way to get more players registering is to send a PM to the people who participate in the Sports Forums or NBA discussions, sending them an invite to join the league... with logon and password..
Not sure if Moin, and Meh have registered but they are normally floating around the forums...

Yao's a beast fantasy wise. Points, rebounds, blocks and shoots a high %.Originally Posted by - L1n -

Well the first time I tried to join the SPCNET league I made a mistake and ended up in another "public" league with 12 players. My team consists off:
PG. Stephon Marbury
SG. Eddie Jones
SF. Richard Jefferson
PF. Tim Duncan
C. Yao Ming
Kirk Hinrich
Grant Hill
Carlos Arroyo
David Wesley
Tim Thomas
Eric Snow
Marquis Daniels
Gerald Wallace
So looking to kick butt in that league. That is if Grant Hill can recapture some form, and Gerald Wallce becomes really huge.

10 teams now, I'm hoping to get at least 12 before we decide on a draft date and time.
Couple more days to join if you haven't already.

can we do the draft in between the 4th and 10th of november becos i have no exams. thanks
Let's hope we get up to at least 15.... That way you need some basketball IQ and luck to be ahead. I'm in a 12 man league already, and looking at some of the teams, its going to be pretty even, if everyone plays according to 03-04 form (which of course won't happen)...Originally Posted by spooks

Spooks can probably explain. My whole take on the thing is:
PG = Starting PG
SG = Starting SG
SF = Starting SF
PF = Starting PF
C = Starting C
G = First guard off the bench to play either PG or SG (also starts when either PG/SG is not playing that day/week)
F = First guard off the bench to play either SF, PF, or C (also starts when either SF/PF/C is not playing that day/week)
Util = Next men off the bench
Bench = Reserves that don't play unless you put them in.

all you are doing is focusing on stats. As long as you have better stats then your oppnt you win that week. some stats does negative to your team like Turn overs. so basically just stats. thats why KG and Dunken are so good to have, they have stats in 5 catagories.

But I thought it depends on whether your 7 players have the better stats then your opponents 7 players that you win/lose.
ie, PG, SG, SF, PF, C + G + F
If PG or SG not playing on a particular game on a particular day, G is automatically inserted in thier place.
If SF or PF or C not playing on a particular game on a particular day, F is automatically inserted in thier place.
If G + F not playing in a particular game on a particular day, Util 1 and Util 2 are insterted automatically in thier place, and so on...
That's why you need to think about where to place your players to score maximum points... (I think - maybe should take moment to read rules )
"Seems, madam! Nay it is, I know not seems!" - Hamlet, William Shakespeare
PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN, DL
Those are the positions, standard roto. 5 positions are self explanatory. G is for any player 'Guard' eligible ie 1 and 2 guard. F is for any forward eligible player. Util is for any player of any position. Players on bench do not get you fantasy points. You have to 'dress' them into one of those positions.
Players assigned to the first 9 positions, will earn you 'points' whenever they play. You only have 82 games per position. So if Duncan is your regular PF and he isn't playing tomorrow but a scrub is, it isn't necessarily a good idea to assign the scrub to PF because he's taking 1 game away from the 82 game per position, which could be better used on Duncan. It is a good idea if Duncan goes down with an injury to sub someone in so you use all 82 games and maximize your points.
Scoring system is also under settings. So you want a balanced mix of the categories. Isn't head to head.
