I like William Yang and Li Yitong more and more...

This Yang Kang is not nearly as suave as Michael Miu's... but I'll give him a shot.

and my favourite (which reminds me of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility and LOCH 2008 at the same time)

Li Yi Tong is CUTE!!!
I don't think so. Well, at least, oh well, shall I just say it...
YK and MNC properly got married, like the 1983 version (Michael Miu and Sharon Yeung). The 2017 wedding was more lavish than the 1983 wedding, but it still makes it sweeter cos YK acknowledges MNC as his real spouse...
Maybe HR should look younger, smile more and wear yellow. But then, all could be fine in the end. Maybe the character playing MNC look better as HR. (She looks to be a suitable Zhao Min too)
You should find a similar scene of Michael and put them side-by-side for all to see. :-)

That one is different too. MNC never dropped off a cliff, right?
But she is wearing red that time when she fell, is that her wedding dress?
LOL, i will try to put the 2017 and 1983 weddings side by side. The colour will make 2017 the winner, but Michael still has more charms IMO...
They're doing a press conference soon...

Oh, re: HR's dresses, I like it that she doesn't wear yellow (only), just because her surname is Huang. In 1983, Barbara Yung wore at least 15 dresses/tunics for her role as Wong Yung. Huang Yaoshi is rich, hence he should be able to afford gold for HR to buy dresses, hehehe...
As for the actress for MNC, I agree she's pretty, but she's more reserved than Li Yitong, so I think LYT should be fine. Tho I don't know if the MNC actress would be smart and silly as well like HR if given the task... she might... But so far, I'm okay with LYT.
If I'm right... (I HOPE so), Michael Miu is coming. Cos he just posted these photos about two hours ago in his weibo:

I like his first poster with the subdued white colours than this one... but hey, at least I got another photo of him!!

I could be wrong... of course... but I think I know whether YK would die alone or not in this series... from Trailer 2.
remember to rehost the images if you are grabbing it directly from china weibo or sina ...
because the images will likely breakdown within 2 years ,
leaving the latecomers in this forum with blank posts , images can't be displayed

Any live stream to the press conference?
Thanks Krabs. I've hosted the images to my imgur.
There seems to be a link to the press conference, but I haven't found it. So far, the four young main stars (GJ, HR, YK and MNC actors) are in the press conference. I haven't seen Michael Miu, Ray Lui or other more senior actors there. Might not come... :-(
here's the weibo link, if anyone can access it...

I can access it through my weibo, but have no idea how to paste the link other than this way.
oh wait, it's someone singing... perhaps the OST... so, no, not the real PR link yet.
Li Yitong is 26, but watching the videos you'd think she was 13. She is certainly sweet, and will probably be the next Yang Mi, but how can you tell me this will be a darker series, when your main female lead acts like she's a Japanese school girl, especially in the second video? I know this is a new aesthetic in China, one targeting the younger generation who grew up with Japanese animation and Korean drama, and sure it might be successful as a fresh take on an old story, but honestly, Huang Rong is not an all sugar character. She has a dark, manipulative side, one that doesn't fit Li Yitong's image at all, but I guess we'll see.
Yang Xu Wen's Guo Jing has a similar problem. Guo Jing is supposed to have had a hard early life in Mongolia, and eventually becomes a patriot hero 大英雄, and while he is often seen as cute, that's because he is honest to a fault and kind of dumb, not because he is a pretty boy - that's more Zhang Wuji's style. In fact looking at Yang Xu Wen, I just can't see how he'll act out the heroic, patriotic side of Guo Jing - the stoic man's man who Li Yaping portrayed almost perfectly in 2003. Guo Jing is supposed to be a tough dude, strong of arm and heart. Yang Xu Wen has big shoes to fill.
Now, they do fit as a couple, but I fear it's only because they are both way too cute for their characters. This is probably the prettiest Huang Rong Guo Jing couple I have ever seen, similar to how Liu Yifei's Xiaolongnu in 2006 set a standard for that character. But that isn't necessarily praise. The 2003 version is widely regarded as the best of the recent runs, and perhaps even the best of all the runs, not because the actors and actresses were so fine looking, but because they were cast well. Li Yaping looked like a dumb, naive, but also strong, honest, and loyal dude. Zhou Xun looked like a cunning, high energy girl who also had a temper, and was given to manipulation and jealousy. From what I've seen so far of the 2017 version, the lead actor and actress are not nearly as well cast. They might be able to portray one aspect of their characters well - Huang Rong's cute & sweet side, and Guo Jing's dumb & naive side - but I'm worried about the other aspects - Huang Rong's jealousy & manipulation, Guo Jing's heroic masculinity, which are just as important to their characters.
