Slow and lite. Boring palace scenario really restricted the plot movement and excitement. Fun music though.

I watched this after Coffee Prince; this time the amazing Yoon Eun Hye is a teary (meant in the nicest possible way) princess. This drama was great, although at times I felt little twinges of annoyance at how desperate and clingy the princess was. I missed the angry spark Yoon Eun Hye had in Coffee Prince. Oh well, can't be helped - great drama; well worth watching.
Side note; I loved the teddy bear scenes… watch and you will understand :)

When it was aired here in our country in 2006, I was not even got interested to watch it but I dont know what happened, when I got a glimpsed of it, I was already been hooked to it, so I managed to have dvd copy, and my instinct was right. The whole series was perfectly made from the plot to actors even the soundtrack! I love it! And in some scenes I got so affected that in times I got to laugh or even cried without noticing it, the flow of the story is just amazing! Worth to watch! The only Korean drama series that I can highly recommend.

Hello my name is Nichole Barnea & Im from the island of Hawaii (Oahu). This is by far the best love story me & my family saw! This series really made our family bond, because we really dont have any time to spend with eachother. But my grandma accidently bumped into this movie by turning it to the wrong channel. It was all over after that!! She made us go to borders 10:00 @ night to get the whole collection. Now as a family we sit down every weekend to watch the show. Its really wonderfull how this t.v show, it makes us laugh, cry, & every emotion you can ever think of!! PLEASE let there be another season.....thank you very much!!!

This was the very first drama I seen. After seeing this one, I was craved 4 more. HAHAHA! This drama made me laugh so hard, especially the part with the towel and her in the closet. That was halarious. This is a must see movie. It made me laugh, cry, and made me awww. And the actors and actress were perfect for their part and they were pretty good. This is truly a cinderella story.

Why everyone likes this drama so much is a mystery to me. Aside from all the actors being good looking, I found all episodes extremely slow. This is a fluff piece, provided for an extremely young audience.

The idea of the series was great as it enabled us to escape into the fantasy world, which is what television is meant to do. However, the storyline was a bit tedious with all the obstacles, hence dragging on the series. Though, I loved learning about the traditions of Korean royalty in the modern setting and the sets and costumes were fantastic. The acting was passable as the only person that actually seemed cheerful between the four main leads was Yoon Eun Hye. The cousin appeared to be in constant depression in the last few episodes and his tears were too much. Overall, I believe the series to be a bit overrated but regardless, it is not one to be missed.

you know. i am a huge fan of this koreanovela!!!to porove it, i even have my own dvd of princess hours! i mean, with this soap,people will find love a nice thing to feel especeally when you passed all the tests of your relationship..because each test you pass, that makes your relationship steonger and stronger...hehehe i am quite a baby ain't i???hehehe but hey the fans of princess hours, don't be sad there is still a season 2 of princess hours but the casts aren't thesame...the season 2 is tittled "prince hours". actualli i have dvd now... and my opinion is.."it's not thesame as the season 1.. i mean season 1 is nicer,better,more goodlooking and everything... to clear myself,,i don't like prince hours.." sorry to be rude but thet's only my opinion...cchhooowwweeee...

This drama is very cute and romantic. Really loved the chemistry between the 2 leads. Especially princess and Prince Yul. Both pretty and good looking. Prince Shin a bit too cold and ungentleman but win my heart at the end. CHeers

I actually watched the drama some time last year,but I just came across this site not long ago.One thing I disliked about this drama,it's too long.The intro moved at a slow pace,but as the story line gradually built up,I found myself pulled towards this drama.There were some scenes that didn't make sense,but nothing major.Though,at some points,I got a little bored.Princess Hours isn't the type of drama I'd watch repeatedly,unlike some other few dramas.But,it's pretty good if you don't mind the long hours. =)

what i loved most about Goong was the overall production, which attracted me to the drama in the first place. adapted from the popular manhwa (comic), there were high expectations. i was initially disappointed in the casting of relative unknowns (even though YEH was part of Baby VOX, and KJH was 1/2 of UN). their inexperienced showed. YEH was the worst of the bunch. Song Ji Hyo is a little more experienced, and due to the nature of her character, i actually found her to be the most bearable to watch. her character was indeed annoying, but that's inevitable, since she's the 2nd lead, and Chae Kyung is obviously the protagonist (that's just how kdramas typically work). JJH and KJH grew on me, i actually think they're kinda cute, but that's about it. too bad Lee Yoon Ji wasn't given a bigger role (she played Shin's older sister, even though she is a couple years younger in real life), as she was delightful to watch. i loved the side characters, the Queen, Chae Kyung's family, the royal servants, and even Yul's mom (talented veteran, Shim Hye Jin). also, this drama should've been shortened by 4-6 episodes as it really dragged on too much. the ending left room for a sequel, although i expected something better than that. otherwise, it is worth watching.

Princess Hours is one of the romantic comedy that came from Korea! It's really great watching it and I always feel I'm princess janelle! Kidding! The love story is impecable, anyone can relate to it, jolly personas..Ow I just love it!

when i first started watching this, i didnt think much of it and kind of thought the characters werent that great looking.. and the royalty thing was fake.. i mean why would they let crown prince go to a public school.. they could get shot at anytime haha but towards the end i grew on the characters and the story.

Joo Ji Hoon (Lee Shin) - Initially, I was quite skeptical about his acting ability, taking into account that he used to be a model and did not have prior acting experience. However, as I was partial to his cool and good looks, I decided to give him the benefit of doubt and reserve my opinion till I see him in action. Granted that his acting was kind of unsmooth at the beginning, good improvements were seen as the story gradually unfolded and entailed more expression of emotions from him. I found myself glued to the screen and looking forward to see more of his scenes. His performance just got better and better as the show progressed. At the end of the show, I was satisfied with the portrayal of his character. He had delivered a wonderful performance in “Goong”, which I had not expected for a newbie.

i agree completely with gundam-freedom. THE DRAMA WAS OVER-RATED. IT DRAGGED ON ENDLESSLY. there were some comical parts, some good parts, but overall, god it was a bore. i wasn't pumped up for anything. dont get me wrong... nice storyline but horrible plot. some of the acting was bad too. overall, this ranks 2 out of 5 stars for me. this is nothing compared to My Girl or I'm Sorry I Love You

This was my Favorite drama beside My Girl cuz it was just beautiful with its actors, scenes, filming, chemistry, etc. ALL of it was great! Totally recommend it! ^.^ Kdramas are getting so much better!

This series is over-rated. It's was draggy all the way through not just towards the end. There a few comedy part but it's not excllent comapre from Kim Sam Soon and Wonderful life!

Tis is my all time favourite korean tv series beside My GIrl. I think the actors and actress did a great job. Besides the two main characters(Shin and chaegyn) are new to acting i belive. this is there first movie. Btw, Se7en will be in the Prince Hours 2 which is the serie. I dun reli like the ending of this first one thoug cuz it ended just like a snap.I think the writer should write how they lived.

This is a good production in which I will also rate 4/5. The two main characters I felt played their role pretty good for being so new.

i saw this drama and agreed with plumstars but i thought the review on Kim Jeong Hun. I think his character lacks development in the series and whislt i also agree that his character should show more anguish and torn between conflicting loves and emotion, I still think this guy did a good job. overall the series was rather cute.

The political stuff was incredibly boring and seemed to never end. Lee Yul's acting was forced and bad. Seeming as how they're beginner actors, I guess I could let it go. But still, it was very boring at some parts.
